Things Noticeable this week

Well this forum has been in transition for ages, moving servers twice and it has had it's problems including one I've experienced with the page stretching upwards and downwards at twice the size and all words, pictures etc getting distorted. I think you have to learn patience with things like this, it's not always at your 'end' and the Owner is working hard to make this the best forum around-a few glitches here and there are only to be expected.

yes i have had the page jumping to the bottom as well. also you have to hit the back button twiceto go back one page, if i righ clickon the back button it shows a page that you cannot get to.

yes mellowyellow the uk is basically the same as Great Britain but the scots have semi autonamy as do the welsh and northern ireland all to differing degrees but we english don't. so their mps can tell us what to do and ours try totell them what to do inlttobe blocked by scots parliament and welsh and NI assenblies. The cornish are also sodding around again wanting independent rule for lands end or some such. it all seems a bit pointless to me think of it 4 seperate regions 4 seperate parliaments 4 seperate civilservices etc etc etc the eu will make a fortune out of all those contributions and 98% of the working population will be public employees God help us

they take in money and pass it out without taking any forthemselves? isn't that like taking water out of the shallow end of a swimming pool and pouring it back into the deep end? if that is the case we can scrap the eu and just loan money to each other without the loan shark, oops sorry i mean middleman, taking his running costs, amin fee and commission.
at the momentthe gb gov is borrowing money at 3% to loan ir to eire at 5%! with friends like usthey don't need enemas

Every time I go to a new page or thread, after a few seconds the page jumps to the bottom.
After a while it stops happening.
It's only happened over the last couple of days.

What browser do you use? I use Firefox and never had any problem.

Well, I think the main problem is that this person, who does this professionally, is offering his services for free. He may not have given the computer as thorough an inspection as he could have. It's a shame that it cost me a new hard drive that I didn't need, but in the end it just resulted in having two hard drives instead of one. More storage space, which I probably never would have gotten around to doing otherwise.

My biggest problem at the moment is finding the right motherboard. Got the wrong one the first time. Now I have to try again. Again, I got the money back on it, so no real harm done. The only problem is the amount of time that the computer has been down. There's a lot of stuff I'd usually be doing (mostly video editing) that I can't do on this laptop. Just an annoyance.

This guy's not selling me the parts, and he isn't charging for the labor, so I think I can trust him. I do think he may have rushed through checking the computer, but based on a friend's recommendations I'm going to continue to trust the man for now.

I wouldn`t pretend to fully understand the reasons for the current animosities, but it seems to me that religion is now a poor excuse, & more likely the usual suspects ie poverty, ignorance ,deprivation etc ; the younger, impressionable youth led on by the criminal elements? That part of the country having been badly served/neglected for far too long

Missing members,,Has anyone heard from meshandlace,kelio or kolzig 37 lately ? While the leeches and lurkers multiply contributing members to GN&D seem to fade away.It did occur to Me that if a member should pass away,We'd probably never know unless a grieving widow posts to tell Us that Her beloved Biganal69 or Harold is no more.
