Things Noticeable this week - Page 494

It was a horribly hot day in Vienna. I was in motion the entire day, from picking up my sister from the airport, getting some equipment for my synthesizer (was looking for the store more than 2 hours and when I finally found it, couldn't find any parking

) to attending some classes in college. Been a long time since we had such a heat. I think I lost some weight in this open sauna.

I'm glad you're not the only one to mention it. It was totally sh** here last week. Almost a week over +30 degrees. I could hardly move

But now it's about +10 and is much better

Is that climate shift common in Russia? Kinda weird. Do you live in the European part of Russia?

Yeah, I'm not posting much, I'm not downloading as much, mainly because I like to burn stuff to DVD, and I learned from my last laptop that the DVD burners on these things break down really quickly... So I'm been in a pretty crappy mood for about three weeks now.

Same happened to me years ago when my old PC crashed. First they told me it was the hard drive, a few days later the motherboard. They were not incompetent, they ripped me off, so be careful.

Wow! If you are a fan of Harry Potter or just eager to see the last film in the sequence then you have to see the final trailer for it-I did just now and it is unbelievable and definitely not for the kiddies. Personally I have seen all of them so far and only read three of the books so the films were a surprise to me and this last one will be no exception. You can find it on Youtube or Yahoo.

Where I grew up in Siberia temperatures can be very different. +35 in summer and -60 in winter are not unusual. But you can live in it

Where I live now it is milder in all ways, but we had a heat wave last week and it was unpleasant. Somehow the heat here seems "hotter"

I saw a Slut Walk today. Well actually I just missed it by no more than two minutes. I could see it in the distance. There must have been 5 or 6 hundred people and that included Human Beings that may have been born "male".

But I saw many of them, on their way back, passing the pub that I was sitting outside.

What can I say folks. Together they were "United".

In small groups many liked and encouraged, the male and female attention.

Today is the seventieth anniversary of operation Barbarossa. The Nazi German invasion of the USSR.

It was a decision that was to ultimately cost Germany the war & lead the world into the cold war afterwards.

I know what you`re saying , but i tend to think the blame for that decision lays with Maurice Gamelin , because if not for his abject behaviour Hitler would have been removed from power in 1936

In fact i might now go and discuss just what i mean by that on an old thread of mine
