Sounds good. Do you roast or fry the peppers before topping the burger or are they fresh? Have you ever chopped up onions and green peppers and mixed them in the ground beef before frying? That's how my Mom used to make them. If we didn't have burger buns she would serve the burger on Wonder bread. I believe Eddie Murphy did a routine about this and it used to make me laugh because I'd think, "Wow, just like my Mom".

My mum made great burgers using lean steak mince. Topped with onion and ketchup. I fry the peppers for about a minute, I sometimes add mushrooms too.

There is a grocery store chain here in the south called Publix. Publix like most other grocery store chains has their own house brands of various items. They have an ice cream called Publix Premium Chocolate Trinity. Now this is their version of a more national brand called Purity Death By Chocolate.

The Purity version is regular chocolate ice cream with bits of chocolate candy and fudge swirls. The Publix version is basically the same thing but has dark chocolate ice cream rather than regular chocolate ice cream. Instead of looking slightly beige when you open it the Publix version is nearly black. It is fantastic and highly addictive. I could probably eat a whole half gallon over two nights if I wanted to.

Last night I opened a new half gallon and ate down about the top inch and a half and just had to force myself to stop. You keep running across a piece of candy which uncovers a chunk of fudge with another piece of candy under it and so forth. You keep thinking "well I'll just get this piece of candy, oh look a nice fudge chunk I'll just get that then stop". But you don't.

Other than not being able to stop after only eating a little, the other problem is that it seems to sell out quickly. In the store all of the racks have full supplies of other ice creams and then there is a hole where the Chocolate Trinity is, or was. Just about everytime I've bought it there was only 1 or 2 other containers left if that.

The other ice cream I love is Blue Bunny Birthday Party. It tastes the same as a white birthday cake. It has sprinkles and is swirled with blue cake icing. Blue Bunny is pretty smart in that the icing is less on top but increases as you get to the bottom.

A little known fact is that Belfast had a "little Italy" not on a New York scale, but there was a part of Belfast called Sailor Town that had loads off Italians. My Granda always talked about their ice cream, he had a sweet tooth. Fusco still has an ice cream parlour about 2 miles from me. I love their ice cream, across the road they have a pizza joint bada bing. Their coffee is very good too.

File this under "It's About Time". Burger King announced that they're coming out with a B-B-Q rib sandwich to rival the McRib. They're also bringing back the pulled pork sandwich and some other things, including a B-B-Q chicken salad and some Oreo desserts. Oh, and Jack In The Box now has pizza bites. Summer is shaping up nicely.

Anyone here ever try spaghetti pie? My sweetie found a recipe online and made it last night. Oh boy, it was good. It is the exact opposite of health food, a baked melange of pasta, butter, eggs, cheese, sauce and meat. Trust me, it's worth the heart attack.

Burger King are building an outlet near me. The guys who build it must work shifts, it's nearly finished after 48 hours.

They just know you can't wait to get a Whopper w/cheese and chicken sandwich.

In other junk food news: I've been putting down more of these than usual lately.
