I hate late night adverts on Digital TV.
Ream after ream of 555-Dial a Minger NOW!. Makes me feel like a dirty old man.... (Plus its the same bunch of not so good looking girls thats paraded out in front of the badly operated camera. No matter what minger line is advertised.) |

Worst one for me (There`s always got to be) was with this slightly overweight "Mobile lovely waiting for my call " blonde girl who for some reason kept fingering her bra strap nonstop .While poking her tongue out in between her huge capped teeth in a manner she probably thought suggestively sexy ,but which actually made it look like she was trying out for a part in the all female version of One flew over the cuckoos nest

That car tax evasion advert from those halfwitted morons at DVLA, we'll crush your car if you don't pay - my arse! You lazy good for nothing shitehounds.
I tried to get the DVLA to get an untaxed car moved that was blocking one of the limited parking places outside my last job and they couldn't give a toss and asked me to ring the police. I rang the police and they said ring DVLA. You're both a bunch of good for nothing useless public money funded tossing factories. It took 3 months to get it moved, the Police advised us that if the car was damaged in any way if we had tried to move it ourselves we would be in trouble ; funny how they are quite good at the pissing off the law abiding people aspect of their job. It's just helping the public that seems to queer their pitch. There's a million untaxed cars in the UK and we have a computerised system! So roughly 3 in every 100 cars is untaxed and therefore uninsured. Surely it's not beyond the wit of man to have a walk round and to clamp any offenders. It seems, however, to be beyond the wit of a whole bunch of civil service munchkins. |

Uninsured drivers
Quote:
The insurance companies are also to blame for grossly over-charging. The Metropolitan Police have sensors in their squad cars which read a number plate and sound off if that plate is uninsured: these sensors are kept switched off because they would be almost permanently sounding. So a total lack of commitment to enforcing the law is part of the issue as well. However these things are no excuse to the uninsured driver. The uninsured driver is usually uninsured for a reason. Sometimes he/she has been banned and this will unvariably be due to dangerous conduct such as drink-driving. Sometimes he/she is an 18 year old who can afford a £500 car (probably a decent car these days) but can't find £2,000 plus to pay for the first year at the highest risk age with no a zero no-claims bonus and thinks this isn't fair. Sorry, it is fair. These fellows are much more at risk of a crash for all sorts of reasons, mostly to do with rocketing testosterone levels, total inexperience and a sincere belief that they are immortal. But they also believe that a £200 fine for uninsured driving makes more sense than £2,000 to pay the premium and on pure economics they have a point. The cost to the rest of us doesn't enter into the equation. Uninsured drivers are parasites. |

http://www.whatcar.com/news-article.aspx?NA=234490 What Car estimates there may be 1.5 million uninsured drivers. If the DVLA is any sort of an example of what a HMG ran computerised monitoring system can really do then God help us if they ever go ahead with a complusory identity card system. |

Something that really annoys me has just happened again , ITV is showing a classic film this time the brilliant To Kill A Mockingbird . Now yes i`ve seen it before but it`s one of those films you can always see again , hence the phrase classic. Only this one has a new addition to the regular characters , he`s a weedy foot tall dude in a suit who keeps doing sign language in the right hand corner.Although not fully in the corner as there`s a decent space between him and the edge , also he`s in colour while the rest of the film is in black and white !.
My my i can hardly notice him , arrrrrrrrrrrgh why do they do this ??? Alright i realize many people are deaf but wouldn`t it be easier for them if subtitles were available rather than having an obtrusive geek on screen ? , how can they watch the film AND his hands anyway ?. I know i couldn`t , hell i`m turning it over and posting before i throw something at his face

If it costs a little extra throw us a couple more pro-celebrity doofreys so that you can rake lots of money in from phone calls. Eg a celebrity dance programme including Gabby Logan and keep her in for as long as possible. |

Detergent/Stain Remover Adverts
You know the sort of thing. These adverts have been riding the airwaves like evil spirits since the dawn of independent television.
''Oh Dear! You've just finished washing his shirt and it still looks like a wound dressing! You need NEW RIPOFF! Stain removal so effective that even politicians look clean! Throw away your rubbish detergent (OLD RIPOFF!) and spend money on our brand new product until it hurts your arsehole. Thats it. Stand next to the cheesy actress we threw your money at, and smile like being robbed blind is just brilliant fun. So long, suckers!'' At present we in the UK are having ''Vanish'' stain removal products shoved at us like they will solve every problem in our lives if only we buy enough of them. The ads are fronted by an infuriating smug smiley woman in a garish pink teeshirt which matches the vulgar packaging of the shitty product, who specialises in telling gormless ''housewives'' that they don't know shit about washing clothes, while they radiate their blissful gratitude at this insulting, patronising cow who has materialised on their home property without invitation. Now she is pushing a foam spray for us all to clean our carpet. I long for one of her victims to rip off her head and play football with it. |

Have to confess that vanish foam worked well after our dog came in season. I TOLD her that we shouldn't go for a beige carpet in the bedroom. But to be honest, I'm finding that ALL adverts make me want to go off and start polishing my rifle.
Barry bloody Stark and his Cillit Bang! I tell you if it wasn't for this place and grand theft auto, I'd be on a rampage through the corporate headquarters of Lever Bros and SC Johnson (a family company). And we haven't even got to the toddler in the suit who manages the toilet roll company yet. (If you're not from the UK, or you've never had the blessing of current UK television advertising post 2000 or thereabouts, the preceding post will make ZERO sense. Count your blessings )

Gee`s don`t get me started on adverts either
Saturday night , well early Sunday morning i guess i was watching the Outer Limits , which in of itself was a totally red herring filled lump of crap with an ending you could have figured out even if you hadn`t watched the stupid thing. But i digress Anyway during each advert break i was bombarded with the most painfully obvious departmental advice . One was to make sure i empty my car and lock it each night , the other to remind me to eat at least five fruits and veg a day , another still with the crime aspect told me that i must never show a burglar around my home and point out the weak spots or tell him i`ll be away on holiday . Yet another advised me to get my eyes tested if i couldn`t see number plates .A different advert about fresh veg popped up this time explaining that if i didn`t know how to eat more healthy food i should go onto such and such a website to read the information, and finally there was some advice about not approaching a bag if it has been left unattended (Well that`s my Friday nights buggered then) ,and something else about getting travel insurance so i don`t end up in a Bombay butchers with no legs ! Now me i was , oh wait a new one has just come on this time it`s about inhaling and exhaling to avoid immediate death ! , thank goodness i was wondering why my lips were turning blue Three ( Hundred million ) cheers for publically financed information adverts , hip hip horraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
