It's alright for you, living in England's green and pleasant land. I fear that soon I shall have to put the doona on the bed. And I hate these frosty 9'C mornings.

We weren't taught how to take a jumper off until we were ten - and even then only under adult supervision.

You call temperatures of 20 degrees C a winter freeze. You aussies must be a lot weaker than I thought!

20C is awesome. When it's 0C then it's cold which is common overnight where I live in winter.

Yeah, it's been known to get down to 0'C here too. Even -1 or -2'C on rare occasions. I'm glad I don't have to get up early for work any more. Still, summer is not quite over. The weather chappies are tipping 28'C tomorrow and high teens to mid-twenties for the rest of the week.

Wikipedia tells me that the coldest temp in Estreeter's nick of the woods was "−4.4 °C (24.1 °F) recorded on 5 August 1997".

That's cold enough. We weak Aussies generally consider that ambient temperature below cold beer temperature is just unnatural

Fuck! I had to put the electric blanket on for an hour before I got up this morning. It must have been at least as low as 15'C.
