No wait let me think now....

Default Life Sentences

In the UK the expression has become a meaningless soundbite.
The jails are full of murderous vermin who will be out within a few years because our legal system hasn't the balls to recognise that some people are just evil and to hand down proper tariffs.
It really pees me off when some reporter or announcer says X has received a life sentence and then follows that with some shit along the lines of "they will serve a minuimum of 7 years". The average life sentence in the UK is 8 years.
The ONLY people who really get a life sentence are the relatives of the victims who get the double whammy of bugger all support when compared to the money HMG throws at offenders.

Oh man, so many things annoy me that I could go on forever, but don't worry - I won't do that. Some things are little things that bother me, like for example, exactly when did it become a requirement that the person (or persons) waiting second in line must stand at least ten feet behind the person at the counter? I'm sorry, but that annoys me. How 'bout when you're at a restaurant, you're finished with your meal, you have the check in hand, you approach the register - and there's nobody there? You have to wait to pay! Yeah, that bothers me. What about when you're in line at the supermarket: there's a big sign that says 'Eight Items Or Less', and the woman in front of you has 36 things she's lifting out of her cart? And nobody says a word. But those things are mild compared to the things that really bother me. For example, the herd mentality that we have here in the States. Nobody questions anything - a total lack of critical thinking, an army of identical clones, tattooed, pierced and shaved, driving the same vehicle, living in the same house - monkey see, monkey do. Allowing the media to dictate who our heroes should be (Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong), adhering blindly (mindless sheep that we are) to the corporate, media-driven, monolithic mandate, as they send endless messages, both blatant and subtle, commanding that our women shave every microscopic hair off of their bodies, bank here (trust us, as we continue to rip you off), buy this, drive this, drink that, fuck you, we don't care! We don't care about you! We don't care.

Default Daytime Television

Not in the office today. I have re-discovered daytime television and it isn't a happy experience. Where it isn't talk shows full of would-be Big Brother housemates who didn't make onto that show, it is padded out with repeats of assinine home-improvement or property-development reality shows which are not only rubbish in and of themselves, they are also bizarrely out of step with the miserable spirit of our present age.

Alas, it looks as though I may have to get used to this shit again. However, the off button still works...I'm cheering up a bit already.

Clampers and debt collectors! The Sheriff of Nottingham (but with none of this guy's class) and the Abbott of Grantham, repackaged for the 21st Century. They are motivated only by money.

I hope they all suffer abcesses in their teeth.

...and cannot find an NHS dentist.
What makes it worse is that even when they are demonstrably 100% wrong the law does nothing. The police are shit and cannot be bothered getting off their well padded arses as it's too much paperwork. The courts drag their feet (and why not at £250+/hour) and even when people win cases in the courts there seems to be no rush to enforce it.
Contrast that with the speed and utter contempt for any recognised form of civility which clampers and debt collectors go to in ensuring they get their pound of flesh.

Posters who contribute to threads and the forum ,but don`t actually contribute to the thread or the forum, if you get my meaning. It`s like they pick out a handful of random words and throw them at the screen and submit the ones that stick , oh and if we`re really lucky they`ll post a lazy link to go with the splattering

Wow like way to improve the quality man , remind me to thank you next time i come back around this way, although if you do i`ll only gun it and run you over
