Thumbs down TLJ made me re-watch TFA with a more critical eye, and realise I don't much care for that illogical nonsense of a so called Star Wars film either

Earned a fortune though.
Sadly
Not that the merchandise for that and the previous two isn't still on the shelves over here and heavily discounted.
There`s so much wrong with the script of that film it`s not even funny.
However it`s intensely anti male slant is.
I'll rant on about everything in another week or so though.
Once I've calmed down enough

Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote

Who they you ask

Well they`re names which is you ever see attached to anything I advise you to avoid.
Because they`re even worse script writers than Rian (Yes mam) Johnson. Yet as piss poor as they are writers they`re even worse-er-er-er directors

Has decent actors doing their ultimate.
Only that film is nothing but a pile of stolen old ideas and multiple corny jump scares , all hopelessly executed. Got so fed up with it by the forty minute mark (Tend to quit a crap film around then) read the ending on Wiki.
Ugggggh.
Glad I did as it puts the P in pathetic..
Dan Angel clearly paved the way for his son to get this few million dollar budget chance.
Oh and boy didn't they all do a terrifically banal job in wasting the cast and audience`s time !.

A disaster movie in every sense of the word...should have waited for it to wind up on the SyFy channel

Default The Woman (2011)

One of the movies where I had a positive belief at the beginning, but how the movie went on and on, my rating dropped lower and lower. The end didn't make any sense and was totally unwatchable.

George Burns.
I thought it was Oscar Levant who originated that quip, though it's also been attributed to Groucho Marx.

Director Mike Nichols offered Doris the role of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate, but she turned it down. Now, that would certainly have been an interesting bit of anti-typecasting.

Has anyone yet mentioned The Oscar, the 1966 star-studded cliché-fest with Stephen Boyd (one of the most wooden actors who ever stood in front of a camera) as a small-time hustler who claws his way to the top of the Hollywood heap? With singer Tony Bennett attempting his one and only dramatic acting role, playing a character named Hymie Kelly. Yes, you heard that right.

Harlan Ellison is one of the credited writers of this classic turkey. Worth watching mainly for Jill St. John's striptease, which fortunately happens soon after the opening credits.

I've previously stated that Independence Day was the worst film I've ever seen. This makes it strange that I've just parted with £1.50 at a charity shop for a dvd of the sequel. This may mean that sometime soon I may change my choice to Independence Day:Resurgence.

Default Snatched (2017)

Snatched (2017)

Storyline (from IMDb):

After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter - in unpredictable, hilarious fashion - is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.

Trailer:

An AWFUL film, slightly redeemed by seeing Goldie Hawn on the screen again.
Unfortunately every time I looked at Ms Hawn's face, I kept thinking that she should demand a refund from her plastic surgeon....

Unhappy Bugger Nuts

Began Streaming this ,

Chap kidnaps Woman to extract the truth tale so called suspense thriller.
With the best will in the world.
As do like Luke Evans as an actor plus Kelly Reilly is easy enough on the eyes.
Only finding it so damn frustrating.
Listen when I tell you Kelly Reilly so far has had not one but three clear chances to save herself from what she believes is imminent death at the hands of her kidnapper.
Yet hasn't taken any of them.
You know the script is one of painful plot contrivances only.

Am thirty seven minutes in and the cleaning woman just turned up to add to the tedious fun.
No not spoiling anything.
Since am taking it you've more sense than me and shall avoid this yawn fest.

Hell yes I`m sticking with it to the bitterest end.

So none of you Fellow Forum Fellas have to

Annihilation (USA/UK 2018)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2798920/

The movie is not really bad in itself. It is just a bad, superficial imitation by someone who obviously saw 'Stalker'. The production seems quite decent, but its implementation ails a little by the moderately talented, not particularly committed acting and the ultimately lack of philosophical depth.

Hell yes that`s saying something

Typing of two decent actors left treading stagnant water

How bad is that film
Well the fact I can't tell you what in the hell it was about is a hint.
Do like Katharine Isabelle and at the start we're treated to a few scenes that accentuate her sultriness. Only they`re shown from too far a distance to properly enjoy (Bah !). Also like Christopher Lloyd. As with Kathy (I know her that well ) he does what he can with what he`s been given. It`s just what he`s given doesn't amount to anything.

Felt more like a film students final exam than a cohesive beginning , middle and end actual movie.
