Written and produced by George Martin as the theme tune to BBC Radio 1, I remember listening to this before Radio 1 went on the air most mornings as a kid

(2) Dave Edmunds - I Hear You Knocking
Even as a youngster I thought this was the first record I heard that distinctly sounded like a Seventies song, and not a leftover from the previous decade

(3) Claude Bolling - Borsalino Theme
Forgotten all about the movie (memo to self: find it again), but the theme is simply timeless

Autry's films were apparently the first 'recent' US product to be shown in the UK... and they were 'support' films to the usual Anna Neagle/anyone-for-tennis/class-ridden bilge we
at that time
