Today, here in Australia, a discussion was started by last years Australian Of The Year, seems he wants the word "Guys" banned in workplaces He thinks it's not fair to use that word and thinks it leaves girls out .

God, and you call us whinging poms back in the dear old mother country, and we are expected to care about this sort of thing.

Ok, thanks to the generous-ish actions of you, the kiwis and the canadians in the first and second world wars, we were never wholly alone to fight the nazi menace etc.- Churchill was just hamming it up for the cameras, we are sort of grateful, well a bit anyway.

We, and the rest of the world are willing to believe that there are more things in your snake infested neck of the woods that can kill you than anywhere else on the planet. From trying to have non consensual sex with a stingray ( R I P Steve Irwin ), to the everyday things that the rest of us take for granted like "paying a visit" becoming a life threatening experience , ( red funnel spiders under the rim of the toilet apparently ). It sounds like you lot over there had ample opportunity to handle this " Australian of the year " vermin, long before it became a problem. Come on!, try and sort this sort of thing out for yourselves in the future without bugging the rest of us - as if we don't have enough to worry about like gender awareness; cultural diversity ; respect for other species sharing our planet and other such tosh , really!
