Deposit Files: Phishing???

Whenever I try do dl a file from depositfiles, my system warns me of phishing and wants me not to enter the site.
Once I ignored the warning I came into a warp where I should update opera and could only leave by closing windows. No dl possible.
If you want to try this for example:

Any ideas?

have noted for quite some time it is loaded with trash. others say it works for them but boy it is a trap for me. never ever will use it.

In Windows 10 I tried Opera and there were a bunch of ads, but no problem starting the download. Normally I would use Firefox with NoScript extension and see no ads. The problem may be some security software running on your machine. JDownloader might be worth a try; with that you don't even need to go to the DepositFiles site.

Using edge worked but took quite some time and lots of popups.

Yes. Jdownloader is a very useful tool. You can bypass the browser problems. I have used it for years. I highly recommend it.

when in download mode, first click continue on captcha but do not click the check mark. clear the silly bs that appears, then click the captcha check mark and continue. it goes to download mode, no more adware etc.

Please install uBlock Origin browser extension and I believe it will solve your problem

I downloaded from Deposit Files for many years without any issues. But now for the past 1 1/2 years at least, serious virus warnings come up every time I access a link. And my ESET virus protection won't let me enter, showing me how it blocked two phishing attempts in the past few seconds.

It must be a false positive. I can't imagine Deposit Files as a large popular host engaging in such dubious practices as phishing. They would lose their customer base quickly if that was the case. You can probably make an exception in ESET settings to allow for Deposit Files.

I run Norton 360 on my browsers, I keep one Browser free from Norton.

Norton doesn't allow me to enter Deposit Files. So when JDownloader opens a browser window Norton stops this too.

As such I just use Opera to open Deposit File links. I've had to do this for the last ... 8 months or so.
