I’ve created larger scans of a couple of Karen’s circus photos. Thanks to LeroyLargeCar for leading me to the PhotoScape program. The larger scans are a bit blurry, but help us see Karen more clearly.

I also ran across a bit of interesting information about Karen’s spouse. He’s an extraordinary guy:

“He has two World Records in the area of Handstand Pushups. For 7 years he was one of the circus trainers for the annual television show Circus of the Stars. He also performed on the USA Professional High Diving and Great American Professional High Diving teams performing acrobatic dives from as high as 90 ft.”

If you suspected (as I always have) that you didn’t have a snowball’s chance of winning the heart of a beautiful, gifted, daring, athletic, artistic woman like Karen, there’s proof! I’m happy that Karen and her spouse found each other, and it’s great to read on the web that their students, clients, and peers have nothing but kind things to say about them, professionally and personally. But I’m happy as well that Karen, out of the kindness of her heart as well as her love of the limelight, was willing to be our dream girl. We can be grateful for that.

I’d like to thank Demsal for trying his hand at colorizing the black and white photo of Karen at Muscle Beach, which appeared in her original layout in PB. He worked with the best of the four scans available on VEF, but since the original in the layout is small and full of detail, he didn’t have an ideal scan to work with. I’m grateful, however, to Demsal, and it is Karen!

As you’ll see in his post, he tried his best with another—the unique photo of Karen in the surf from her layout in PB Mexico—but the scan we have on VEF is just too small and grainy for him to work his usual magic. But I appreciate his effort!

The area around her fingers looks pretty bad, but it was the best that I could do.
