Posts without EROTIC content

Personal Gripe perhaps, but one I think that may be more widely shared. I would like to hear how other forum members feel about this.

I appreciate the work of folk who take the time to post onto the forum, I really do - but Oh Lordy! the amount of scrolling and page loading waits we are now having to go through to get to content which is in any way revealing is becoming a chore. Not to mention the disappointment experienced when, having navigated through to the last post on an individual of interest, the post turns out to be no more than a series of images of the celeb in question thoroughly wrapped up and showing nothing other than their choice of designer outerwear - or worse.

I accept that a red carpet event or similar will from time to time result in an image which will be worth posting because it affords a new angle or insight into the physicality of the celebrity concerned, but I would like to plead for a process of editing / redaction by posters here.

Could we please all remember that this is an Erotica Forum and reign in the temptation to post slews of grabbed images simply to add to post counts?

Or is that too much to ask?

I've had this gripe myself on so many previous occasions.......... so I'll give you the answer that I've always gotten............

Erotica or erotic can be many things to many different people, and cannot be tied down to one thing...... which is why all these red carpet and posts are here that show little or nothing at all. I dont find them at all interesting either. More so are the 'head and shoulder shots' that are appearing courtesy of some newer members; and in fact i'm as annoyed by them filling endless pages as much as the red carpet stuff.... (more so as i have only a limited connection during the week.)

But to be honest; I'd rather put up with those posts, as the members making them are also those most likely to also post the top notch erotic content that i do like, in among the 'chaff' (sorry guys, but its a good word for it)..... so in essence, as you're not paying to get anything, you can just pick and choose what you do and dont want from the forum.

of course, there will be those here that will just suggest that you go out and find more erotic posts that you can also post here... which ive had levelled at myself when i've grumbled..... but as i said, its all free, so just enjoy it.

I've seen some face-only shots - and I have posted many of them - which, in my not-so-humble opinion, are more erotic than a shot of someone's butt in a thong, or a shot of some pretty young thing getting bonked by some guy who has obviously eaten too many cheeseburgers.

More seriously, the site has grown and evolved over the years. Part of that has been an expansion into somewhat more "mainstream" material. You are free to restrict yourself to the hard- and/or softcore sections of the forum, no one is forcing you to read every thread or section here. I also agree with RLG about "eye of the beholder", see the link in my sig for my personal expansion on that.

I've been watching a steady decline in celeb nudity since 2007. Actually it was before that, 2002 that we started talking about a decline in really sexy redcarpet glamour, but in 2007 there was a big drop that brought up the whole celeb nudity decline all around. I've almost stopped collecting today, whereas I used to download huge amounts of content daily from usenet, checking irc, several of the celeb boards, and finally regular website news, I'm down to checking a few favorites threads on just 2 boards, no irc, no usenet and maybe 1 news site a month. There just isnt content I give a crap about anymore, especially amongst what passes for celebrities today. Granted, I started out in the mythical magazine/photo days 20-something years ago, and have only microscopic interest in the disney flavor of the pre-rehab month, but still. Go back and watch a then-megahit 1980-1985 movie. There's an exponentially larger amount of adult content than there is now. It's not that I dont appreciate the massive amount of work it is to post large amounts of content all the time, I do. I Really Really do.

It's that there is virtually no content WORTH posting coming out today. Sure, there's always the pseudo-celeb whores sticking a camera up their ass to be famous, but that aint glamour or sexy, it's just some druggy whore turning a trick.

Lindsay Lohan. Nuff said.

Where's Jayne Mansfield? Where's Andie Macdowell's ass dress from 1986? Where's Rose mcgowan's chain outfit?

Do I want to invade Halle Berry's privacy while she takes her toddler to the grocery store wearing sweats? Hell no. There's no fantasy in that. I can see that at Hyvee. Woman who didnt wash her hair this morning wearing sweats dragging a brat screaming thru the aisles looking for tampons.

Them days are done. I've given up. After watching it decline for 10 years, I dont think there's gonna be that upward swing we've all been waiting for. For goodness sake even Paris Hilton has put panties on.

And dont give me that worn out conservative blah blah. The world hasnt gotten more conservative in the last 30 years. Not in any area. At all.


And THAT'S why you dont see the "erotic" content you're looking for anymore. 90% of it isnt around anymore. So the posters post what they can and really HOPE somebody screws up and a sexy photo actually hits the public. The guys cant post what aint there...

I wish that every celeb i lust after had done a sex tape that a generous soul had leaked to the wider world.

I wish they all decided to sunbathe nude at least once in their careers.

I wish that they all would get a script that called for full frontal nudity and thought that the part needed it.

But until that day comes we will just have to make do with what we can find, and what the kind and generous members of VEF take the time and effort to upload for us.

You may recall that one of my favourites is Helen Worth (don't judge me), she has been photographed topless on one occasion but it is very unlikely she'll be caught again, so i will just have to be content with all of the red carpet stuff and the odd photoshoot.

And just like Helen, the majority of my celebrity collection is of non nude stuff, and i still enjoy it.

I know that I'm going to sound like an old fart here, but there is something to be said for leaving a bit to the imagination.

Of course, it doesn't have to be much. (Think "Jayne Mansfield in a thong bikini" or "Marilyn Monroe in a micro-mini". I tell you, it boggles the mind.)

I can accept that I'll never find nude shoots of the Heathers, or nudes or even slips of Stefanie Kramer, or Gwendolyn Pierce. It hasnt kept me from sucking up every photo of them I've encountered over the last 20 years, and I dont mind. You have to admit tho, the amount of nudity in the movies has decreased dramatically in the last 10 years.
