From CC 77, Summer Romance
It is fun to see that the CC photographer almost follows a specific pattern when they set up the pictorials. I think it's very charming to see the effort they make (this is also very clear in the loops) in creating a storyline and I don't understand why the City Museum (i.e. Københavns Museum) doesn't include this material in its collections, as it contains very good footage from this period the 60's and 70's Here we (again) are at Gammel Torv by the Caritas Well facing towards Rådhusstræde and "Strøget". The Restaurant Shanghai has been in this place all my life...and I've never been there. Must try it one day though |

Sure looks like Copenhagen to me, danish writing, the red writing is a travel agent and the blue is a paint and wallpaper store. Our Copenhagen experts will nail this in no time!
And wow, Copenhagen is a beautiful city! |

I'm searching for "farve-tapet-linoleum Copenhagen" and I found this site with this picture: I think the chick is out of a Hotel... And there is a square. |

I admit it was a tough one as the place have changed a lot over the years. But once I recognized the church tower (I think the google search has to be done in danish) it was obvious. The girl waits for the Taxi outside the Scandic Hotel in Vester Søgade and we see towards Gammel Kongevej. The church is in Stenosgade and today it is almost impossible to see it from the Scandic as the low houses to the right have been replaced by a much taller building. The paint shop is today a restaurant and the travel agency is replaced by a stripclub (the Taxi that picks her up will play a role in a future post) |

This is from Color Climax 69
We are in Coprnhagen in Hovdvagtsgade near Kongens Nytorv. In the two pictures the photographer is standing in the exact same spot in both pictures, just turning a little left from the first to the second. The house in the distance on the taxi picture is situated in Ny Østergade. To exactly locate the pictures it helped a lot that you could read the house number. Today it looks pretty much the same...the houses have been painted. The house in Ny Østergade has also got new windows |
