Only and brilliant role in a Hammer movie for Barbara Ewing,
as Zena, unforgettable busty and tragic barmaid.
She's now a succesful writer.

Adrienne Corri is another lesser known (Scottish) Hammer Beauty.
She also appears in the sexy & weird Hammer sword-and-sandal "The Viking Queen".
A must to see .. if u like this genre.
But her filmography is impressive, from "The River" (Jean Renoir) & "Quo Vadis" (Melvyn LeRoy) in 1951
to "Revenge of the Pink Panther (Blake Edwards), 1978. And much more, especially TV series (Ivanhoe, Danger Man, etc).

She's of course the incendiary redhead raped in "A Clockwork Orange".

Vampire Circus, Robert William Young, 1972.

I very recently watched it for the 1st time and I really enjoyed it !
Very good writing & scenography, original story & poetry and,
on more of Adrienne Corri, some more or less unknown Hammer beauties.

And this stunning scene, an erotic ballet with an emerald painted
"tiger-woman" : Serena.
Her partner and her are casted as "Milovan and Serena".
In fact and in real they were professional erotic dancers.
In 1971 performing at the Raymond Revuebar in Soho, London.

May 1971 :



Funnily, in the same magazine issue, there's a pictorial about another
Hammer beauty, Julie Ege. You can find it here.



Vampire Circus was shooted in Autum 71, but it seems the couple was
already "famous" before.
And Serena is really one of these spectacular beauties hidden in the mists
of Hammer Horror ! There's a few more (to come) from this movie.

Serena is listed by IMDB on only 2 other movies :
"The Lovers", Herbert Wise, 1973 (I don't know at all this movie, big-screen version of a TV sitcom) and
more surprisingly, in French Henry Verneuil 1976's movie "Le Corps de mon ennemi", with Jean-Paul Belmondo.
On both movies she plays.. a stripper !

Hammer movies are a real unknown world, full of unexpected gems !
And she's even on the Japanese poster of Verneuil's one :

Christine Paul-Podlasky is a British actress with Polish origins.
Only one appearance in a Hammer movie.
In 77 she moved back to Poland where she continues her carrier.
