What are your experiences of one-night stands? Any suggestions about getting the lady into the sack, what you do with her then, and how you end the night?

At the risk of sticking my neck out. . . .

I used to travel a lot a few years ago. I found that many women were receptive to the idea of a one nighter, if they knew we were not going to see each other again. Most willing participants were around 35-45 years of age range. With probably more toward the 40+ mark than lower.

Many were married. All had knowledge that I was married to ex-mrs. winebeavis and wanted to stay that way. None of them seemed to care.

The typical scenario went something along these lines: I would meet somebody on the next treadmill in the gym, chat with them a little bit, flirt very lightly, usually end up offering to have a coffee with them in the lobby or coffee shop. Take it from there.
Other times, it was at the hotel bar during happy hour. Usually just talk to whomever I was interested in and see how it goes.

Usually I just let her talk about her self and paid attention to see if any connection was there. At some point, if it looks like it was going my way, I would simply ask her if she was interested in a one time only, no strings attached, I'll never call you, tryst.

More often than not (probably) the proposition works. Sometimes it didn't. When I was successful, it typically was with the married career woman/mom with a workaholic husband and she hasn't been laid in 2 months. She just wants to escape for an hour or so and get back to her life in the morning when she heads to Detroit and I fly off to Denver. There's been more than once when it's been suggested by her that we go up to a room.

Here's who this almost never works on. A local. Somebody with co-workers/family members staying in the same hotel, etc. Cheap ass hotels. Usually you get the idea pretty quick if it's not going to happen.

My best bets were airport hotel bars and gyms. It's like open season in there. Prior to then, I remember college parties and those days.

Your mileage may vary.

EDIT: I always had better luck with women who were in their mid 30s and up. They seemed to know what they want, when they want it, and aren't apologetic about it either.

I'd agree that an altered state of consciousness helps a lot, especially if you're in college. If they are married, I think that winebeavis' description of the likely target as a frustrated executive woman who isn't getting enough attention from her husband is pretty much spot-on. With unmarried gals, having been dumped and looking to rebound is often a factor. For example, my first one-night stand was senior year of college. I'd had three earlier college girlfriends, whom I'd been with for periods ranging from 3 months to two years. The third of them had dumped me to play the field and went out, got drunk, and had a one-nighter of her own with a football player who liked to play it rough and had really nailed her hard. At the same time, I was on the prowl and found myself at a party where I ran into a cute blonde who herself was on the rebound from a relationship. The weed and the wine got passed around and we all got high and next thing you know we were making out and then at her place for the night together. Like the wife cheating on her husband, a single gal having a romp on the rebound with a stranger is a form of relatively risk-free transgressive revenge and a declaration of independence.

No need for that modern stuff like Rohypnol! A couple of Valium and a can of Carlsberg Special. Hey Presto, you're having a knee trembler in the Coop Undertakers doorway - mind you I felt dreadful next morning , never mix drugs and booze!!

I had sex with a woman once in a cemetery.... the imprint of "God Rest He Who Lies Here" from the tombstone left on her butt didn't go down too well with her hubby when he saw her getting dressed the next morning though....

Of course, with single women a one-night stand can be a way of getting back at an ex, all the more if she sleeps with one of the exes' best friends. This is also true with men. At about age 30, for example, a woman I knew took me home and started engaging me in some dirty dancing and foreplay. She was tall, blonde, with ok tits (34B's) and very leggy. Next thing you know, she was in the sack with me for the evening, among other things telling me she'd just been dumped after three or four nights with a mutual friend who'd had an argument with his girlfriend but now had made up with her. Then, as she left the next morning she went out of her way to say that she would be seeing another friend of his and mine that evening, in case I did not realize that ours had been a limited engagement. Well, I moved shortly thereafter to another city and started sleeping with a blonde ex-lacrosse player who was physically almost a carbon copy of the first woman, except that she had a far nicer ass. After a year or so that ended and I immediately found myself in the arms of her best friend, a hot little brunette, for an evening's romp. The best friend had wanted to try me out all along and I was happy to oblige, since she had real "come hither" eyes and a great figure. Indeed, it turned out to be one of the best meaningless relationships I ever had.
