Well dear folk of the press, you have been bleating on for years about police harassment of ethnic minorities, you have been bleating on about invasion of privacy, you have been bleating on about heavy handed tactics,(try a visit to the US on that), and you are constantly bleating about Civil and Human Rights. Even now elements of the press are trying to do down the Army over Northern Ireland! There are serious limits to what the Security Services can do, all related to the above, if they get it wrong, and pursue the wrong person, you will attack like a pack of rats, if they do not investigate to your standards, out come the rats. So instead of bleating and publishing shit about celebrities, start dealing with the real world.

As for the rest, praise the incredible success and report the errors, but please do it sensibly. It has nothing to do with money or resources, but everything to do with the limits placed on them by political correctness.
They are attacking the security services instead because they don't want to be seen attacking the politicians responsible for these policies you criticise most notably Theresa May during an election.

She's lucky she has a Pro-Tory Press because if all this had happened to Corbyn after making police cuts and accusing them of 'crying wolf' he would have been crucified.

I keep hearing this 'Pro Tory Press' stuff. NOT in my opinion! In fact the BBC debates are directly biased and one wasd even censured by the Press complaints commission for having a biased audience, as usual not reported!

I was not as harold says, attacking Muslims, they do use the Anti terror hotline, the problem is the things that are possible in way of following up, are limited, not by resources, although that will always be a problem, but by what is allowed for by law.

I assume all the other countries, like France, Germany, Italy and Belgium have also had huge Police budget cuts? Otherwise there would have been no attacks there either. Police numbers have been cut because of the huge Police debts caused by PFI, under Labour, in the North East there is a state of the art control centre, all singing all dancing, never used, because the Emergency Services did not want it, it costs £21m a year of the local forces budget. The Metropolitan Police recently did a joint exercise with the SF, they had a hostage situation scenario, they used a twelve year old hospital, built and still being paid for by PFI, none of the Health Authorities wanted or needed it, but it was built. £664 BILLION to be paid back. For what. So the fat cats in the private sector can get richer, oddly this was reject by Major and used by Labour. I quote the Head of the Commons Public Finance Committee ' Labour were seduced by PFI, it was crazy and it was a mistake.' She by the way is a lavour MP!

Germany had between 2008 to 2015.
Now they regret it bitterly, because they are not able to fill that gap (the education takes min. about two years).

Maybe I am wrong, but I would love to hear what practitioners in the home invasion field would think about this.
Rupert undoubtedly has a vast amount of knowledge on this subject with his military background. But I would just mention that I briefly lived in the US and have a few American pals who are gun buffs, so I've had the chance to do some shooting with pistols and rifles over the years. This includes the AR15, which is a civillian version of the M16 assault rifle. It really isn't the kind of weapon that's a good choice for home defence and in practice an old fashioned revolver with appropriate ammunition is probably the best gun to have in a high stress situation. There really is something not quite right about this story I'd say.

Default Wanstead attack: Nursery worker stabbed

A nursery school worker has been taken to hospital with a "slash wound" after reports of a stabbing in east London, police have said.

The victim, who is in her 30s, was attacked in Hermon Hill, Wanstead, on her way to work at about 09:30 BST.

Nursery manager Karrien Stevens said the woman told her she was slashed by three Asian women dressed in black.

Counter-terrorism police have been informed but are not treating it as a terrorist incident.

Ms Stevens, who runs Little Diamonds nursery in Hermon Hill, said the woman told her that she was attacked while on her way to work from Wanstead High Street.

The attackers slashed her arm from the wrist upwards before running off down the street, she said, and shouted out "something to do with Allah and the Quran".

The victim's injuries are not life threatening but she was taken to an east London hospital as a precaution, the Metropolitan Police said.

In a statement, the force added: "The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival in an unknown direction.

"No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.

"The Met's Counter Terrorism Command has been made aware of the incident but is not investigating at this time."
