Mind you there are concessions for children , so 80 percent of our fellow members should be able to get in for a couple of quid
I've been to the Tate, I don't think it cost me anything.

Do you get a discount there for stupidity do you think Skullster?

Come on, I'm settling in here to scribble a little update on VEF friends and get some feedback.
I've been registered on the site since 2012 but I've only been taking part in the forum for a few months now, mainly in the humor section as I'm more attracted by the little dialogues and humor than by simply exchanging photos.I do, however, occasionally visit other sections of the forum.

I try to post moderately, but that's not always the case, as I like the forum to move and not remain static (which is sometimes the case). It's true that I polluted a few posts at the beginning and I apologize for that.
I'd like to return to the subject of my reflection, the fact that I never send friendship requests, perhaps out of shyness or simply out of fear of not being accepted.
I have received friendship requests that I have accepted, but I don't have much private contact with them. We chat quite often on the forum, but we're sort of strangers and don't really know each other.
Is this a mistake or not?
What motivates you to accept a friendship request, is it to have a complete list just to say "I've got lots of friends like on facebook or whatever", or are you more interested in dialogue with another member and therefore more selective?
I don't frequent social networks, so I'm not used to chatting with people. In fact, I'm an introvert and it's very difficult for me to reach out to others, because I become very suspicious.
I'm not going to lie and tell you that the English language and I have a bit of a comprehension problem and that many of the messages posted on the forum are incomprehensible to me, so discussing subjects like politics with friends is simply unthinkable.I have neither the knowledge nor the level to take part in this kind of dialogue, which is why I don't intervene on these subjects.
I would like to apologize to the people with whom I have a friendly relationship if my attitude towards them seems disturbing to you, but with this clarification I hope you will understand better why I remain silent.

Personally, for the longest time I rejected all friend requests at all forums from anyone who sent me one. It just seemed odd to me to accept a faceless stranger I don't know as a "friend", and I would only send a request occasionally to someone I had contact with on an ongoing basis.

Well, maybe I'm mellowing out in my old age because now I just accept a friend request if I receive one, no matter who has sent it. Not really sure why I get them in most cases (the only members I ever contact via PM here are the staff), but I guess I should be flattered. Who knows? To anyone I rejected in the past, I apologize. It wasn't personal, just one of my quirks... my many quirks.

To maxivic, I would say do whatever you are comfortable with doing. The best friend you will ever have is yourself.

I couldn“t have said it better myself, thanks same with me, sometimes I read in the political forum and do have an opinion on most things too, but am too shy to post anything, a) because I am not deep enough into american politics and b) the language barrier, of course
