"Temporary Wife" on business trip: good idea?

I may have an opportunity to take a job that would send me to various places around the country for several weeks at a time, a couple times a year. One of the things I like about this idea is the possibility of hooking up with a woman for a romantic-but-short-term affair while I'm away.

I don't really want to have one night stands, hang out in bars, or waste money on hookers. I'm a horny, but romantic, guy! But I'm thinking that some married woman or single mom might want a brief romance with no risk of it complicating the rest of her life. And it would give me both companionship and a chance to have more vigorous sex than my wife is up for. I really can't see the downside, so long as we practice safe sex and we both know that when's it's over, it's over.

What do you guys think? Good idea/bad idea? Is it even likely that I could find a woman on those terms? (Craig's List? any other ideas?). Just appreciate the group's thoughts + suggestions. Thanks!

Well, ... bad or good, is your own idea. If you're able (and capable), ... so is your decision.
For me, it's not a chance. My life is good as is, with my people, and don't need much more (maybe i'm a simple man?).
And when i have not enough sex, ... can visit VEF. Sometimes found sex themes, and sometimes found friends... i think i have enough.
(But this is my opinion)

Tony: appreciate the thoughts! For me, porn and whacking off only go so far. I get so desperate for real human contact (not just sexual, but skin, hair, smell) that I think I'll go nuts. Maybe it's a neurosis, maybe it's just being sensitive, but I love human contact. And, for sure, don't need it (so much) or want it (at all) when I'm home; then, my family deserves my 100%. So that's why I'm considering this.

If you are single, then that's fine. If you get a STD you knew the risks. If you are married/in a long term relationship you are a cheat.

Scooby, I know what is going through your mind.

There have been times when I have worked on contracts away from home 6 nights a week over a years or so where I have wondered about finding a temporary girlfriend, or just hooking up with another lonely soul in those bl**dy travel lodges.

What's in it for me...companionship and love plus sex away from home

For my wife, betrayal and a broken heart if it got back to her

For the girl, well nothing really, sex, temporary companionship and then..nothing...no committment.

My advice, make some friends when away and if you need more of the physical, rent it from a girl who sells what you desire, at least you both get what you contracted....and use a condom..you dont want to contract what you didnt contract for...
