I knew I should have stayed as far away from this thread as possible, but being a glutton for punishment, I took a look and now they are back. Please go away.

Being stuck in a car for 6 hours going from Adelaide to Melbourne and having the choice of Wham on CD and no radio stations made me love to hate this song...thankfully the other songs have been removed from my brain
Mate who was driving(wanted to be a rally driver)said it was good driving music...WTF!!!!!!! Wham! - Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF3Y5qfnhGc Last edited by buttsie; November 15th, 2010 at 02:22 AM.. |

The tortured cyclist
Many years ago, a friend and I decided to ride our touring bicycles to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, Texas to see the dinosaur tracks. This was a hilly ride of 110 plus miles and occurred several years before the invention of the Walkman. So, midway through the ride a country song by Dan Fulkerson "Tombstone Every Mile" popped into my head. The tempo of the song perfectly matched that of my peddling. Here's the rub, I don't like the song. If fact, the only part of the song I know is the refrain: "If they buried all the truckers lost in them Woods There'd be a tombstone every mile . . ." So, that was going off in my head for eleven hours all the way up to Glen Rose AND all the way back the next day.
