Because I live in Antwerp, smoggy city No, i'm not scared for gaswar happening soon And though i like dark music (industrial, noise, etc) i dislike gothic techno / rave and their phoney gas masks. I think it's more a German thing though. I am fascinated by masks though (gasmasks and masks in general) a love/hate thing, they look great (to me) and some freak me out (as a kid i was super scared of an african mask with bulgy eyes that hung in my aunt's house, brr). Also as a kid i was really scared to be choked or strangled, and while gasmasks give air, they also inhibit free breathing, so it's all connected for me ... you guys are thinking i'm crazy, right? Also i think they just look cool I never wear them though. Ah, and it's also a form of hiding identity so it suits this forum, doesn't it? |

I'll not eat them.
It was just as information.
I fell on it when I was watching informations about the death of Jerry Lewis. I'll not eat them. I don't need to eat any kind of animals. 20 years without eating any meat and I walk longer in the mountains than a lot of my meat eaters friends or colleagues. Really! Do you have insect burgers for sale in UK? I had to wear my gaz mask during a lot of exercises, when I did my military service. How boring it was. Yep it suits you very well! |

WW2 warship USS Indianapolis found under the ocean
WW2 warship USS Indianapolis found under the ocean
The World War Two heavy cruiser USS Indianapolis has been found in the Pacific Ocean, 72 years after its sinking by a Japanese submarine. A team of civilian researchers led by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen discovered the cruiser's wreckage Friday on the floor of the Pacific Ocean, 18,000 feet below the surface. The discovery brings a measure of closure to one of most tragic maritime disasters in US naval history. "To be able to honor the brave men of the USS Indianapolis and their families through the discovery of a ship that played such a significant role in ending World War II is truly humbling," Allen said. |

Update Dogan Akhani
Quote:
They were obviously not bad surprised, as there appeared a 60 years old man with glasses and balding hair at the hotel room door. He is set free actually, but he is not allowed to leave Madrid. (at his own costs of course !!) Wiki info to Doghan Akhani : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do%C4%9Fan_Akhanl%C4%B1 http://www.newsflog.com/2017/08/20/d...tional-launch/ (One should be wondering, how Turkey could know that Mr. Akhani was on vacancy in Grenada.)

I remember seeing the total eclipse of 1999. I was doing a course in East Finchley and we all traipsed out of the building and crossed a road. Someone set up an easel and projected the eclipse onto a sheet of card. Although we all had special glasses to look at it. As I recall we only got a partial view in this country but it was very odd; one minute sunny day in August and then it turned darker and the birds began chirruping -it was virtually twilight at midday but it was, for all of what we got here, a really amazing spectacle.
Comedian Alan Davies commented on an episode of QI on coverage back then he saw on Sky News live from Cornwall, with the ptesenter's voiceover saying "and there is our old friend the moon, very much getting in the way"😀 |

Only one photograph survived from that memorable day in 1999 and it catches the moment one sightseer was bathed in ethereal darkness
Thank God that eclipse is over, my heart could not take any more excitement
