Not just Britain. EU mainland where I'm at is pretty much the same. People get ripped off everywhere: internet/TV/mobile phone costs, rent, insurance, health care, even basic needs like food, you name it, we're all being exploited so the privileged 1% can keep buying lamborghini's, yaughts and private jets.

Well the fucking PCers are going to the next level about removing statues and landmarks. Now in the North they want to yank some statues and remove some landmark just because the ones trying to get it done are now using the Confederate issue as leverage.
If I had the money I would buy all that I could and place them on private property just to piss the assholes off.

This is exactly my plan with SpecSavers. After a recent eye test they tried very hard to sell me on the idea of having two pairs of varifocal glasses for just under £240.00. "Ah, but you get the second pair for free." said the young lady! As I actually need three pairs, because I prefer fixed reading glasses for computing, this is all rather expensive for something that may only last for a couple of years or so.

I have been looking at online glasses and Martin Lewis's site named several companies like Goggles4u as reasonable. Nevertheless, for something knocked out in the Far East for next to nothing, even these prices are high enough.
