I remember singing "Yellow Submarine" at kindergarten, I must have been five years old. I thought the lyrics was "Jell-O Samarin"...didn't make sense to me

As a child listening to mum and dad's 78's, on the hand cranked gramaphone in the mid fifties, Hank Williams was a favourite.
Mum bough tme Hank Williams Greatest hits for my 50th, did not have the heart to tell, it was not really me. God bless her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Ky6DMuCP0k |

The theme from the Pink Panther while I was starting to fall asleep in the back of a station wagon at a drive-in theatre with my parents in 1963. It's still a great piece of music 49 years later.

The 1st record (45) that I remember was The Beatles Please, Please Me.
The 1st album I ever heard from end to end was Miles Davis 'Kind of Blue' which my mom used to listen to endlessly (it's still one of my favorite albums) I paid her back a few years later by playing 'Hard Day's Night' (the album) continuously for so long that my mom knew all the words to every song.
