Porn after the 90's, especially with the introduction of gonzo style filming, has become increasingly cookie cutter and insincere. It's like we have a bunch of people that are clueless about sexiness, eroticism, sensuality, etc., and instead make material that embraces base vulgarity and little else.

Regardless of how attractive some of the female talent may be on the surface, they seem to have no clue about how to be sexy. A lot of them also seem to be kind of clueless in regards of how to perform. Few seem to know how to give a decent blowjob that goes beyond gagging, resulting in mouthfuls of phlegm (as if that is somehow hot). They basically have one speed when it comes to sex and that is overdrive. Most of them don't know how to talk dirty and just sound like they are doing a bad parody. In fact there is way too much forced dialog these days. You don't need to be saying something every five seconds in some generic valley girl accent. It's like the porn equivalent of the news anchor voice.

Even the pinup softcore material has gone downhill.

Not to mention plastic surgery was far less prevalent. You had boob jobs and the occasional nose job but that was about it.

First, I hate 'professional' porn; its tacky, unrealistic and the woomen are overblown and hideous. Second, I like 'real' images, genuine women like those you actually know. Much of the fantasy ttraction of porn is that you can imagine actually being in the situation, that you could imagine actually having fun with these women. So I like amatuer photos and videos of genuine women. I started masturbaing and then having sex in the 60's. The porn then was largely soft and featured ordinary women in sexy situations.
