How do you make GIFS?

I have seen a few on the forums and was wondering what everyone uses.

I use Ulead GIF Animator 5, I use bog standard WMM to edit out the images from their long clips.

All pretty basic, but that is about as much effort as I'm willing to put in.

I use ImageGrab to capture the frames, IrfanView to resize and/or crop the frames in batch mode and convert them to GIF format, and UnFREEz to sequence them.

i use 2 programs. both free.

first VirtualDub to put the video into. from there i take the pictures out.

then

take it into PhotoScape.

you can also do stuff on the lunapic website. like make fake christmas pictures. like put your own picture inside a bulb for example.
