On the single picture you can see the former AFRC Hotel Columbia in the Jagdstrasse corner of Renatastrasse (The hotel building is demolished today):

How did I do that?
01. The license plates tell you that it is in Munich.
02. On a garden wall there is a sign with the street name "Lachnerstrasse"
03. Here is an indication of the AFRC "Columbia": afrcski - Message Board (post #2)
04. Surf on Google Earth and use Street View, too.
Had fun with that Job.

Actually that was quite easy. The style of the buildings points at Haussmann and therefore Paris. So I had a look at the churches in Paris and right the first picture there shows the American Cathedral in Paris. That's a bingo. I suspect the ladies to be on the Place de l'Alma with the camera looking towards the Avenue George V. In Google Earth is a photo shot from almost the same place.

a very nice riddle. I think this is the pier of Valhalla (not: Walhalla), a district of Gothenburg [Göteborg]. I don't have any photo evidence yet. RetroDiesel

In the meanwhile I think that Göteborg is an error: "Valhalla" is part of several location names in Skandinavia and in Göteborg there are no hills with houses close to piers.
