I don't mean to sound cruel but I know several neighbors and even friends who do work because they are getting enough aide to get by. Why work if you can skater through life. Now I alos realize that there are many who do need help in some form or another and am all for it. There are a lot though who are just scammers.

True, it is pretty much how we've conducted business in the United States since inception. Look at our current president, for example. He's a third generation immigrant on his father's side and a second generation immigrant of his mother's side. I imagine that he has some experience when he describes immigrants as murderers, rapists, and thieves. (There are women out there accusing the POTUS on that middle count and a host of individuals who call him a liar or have sued him for breached contracts.) My ancestors immigrated earlier and the new arrivals I have met are grateful to be here; hardworking family folks determined that their children should fit in and succeed in the United States.

It does give one pause.. someone is paying for the buses, social media, websites, organization, and the like. That someone likely wants a return on investment.

With that level of resources available, I can only surmise this is done for political gain, rather than financial. Who benefits by illegals flooding the country? Who benefits when, after a fashion, they're somehow given amnesty and eventually the right to vote?

This has legs, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before this phenomena is hijacked by other special interests.

Yup. It amazing how things are bent and interpreted to mean something that wasn't even considered. I bet everyone on this board, even those preaching the glory of globalization, lock their doors at night.

It's also amazing how legal immigrants are overlooked and marginalized. Those who did it by the numbers.. took the time, expended the effort, and demonstrated a desire to come here and become an American.

Every time we make excuses, look the other way, or lack the general will to just say no and actually enforce existing law, it's a slap in the face of those who took the trouble to obey the law. How do you justify illegals to them? Hope they suffer from "American Guilt"?
