I can scarcely believe that I have to announce the sad death of long time Moderator and Forum institution MaxJoker. Devastated is too trivial a word to describe how I feel right now, Tragedy is too trivial a word to describe the loss to this forum His sad demise represents. This Forum has sustained cruel blows in the past, This ranks as one of the cruelest. RIP Max, Mate.

This is dreadful news, almost unbelievable, he was on-line yesterday evening, posting and moderating as usual, now he has been taken from us.

Max was a dedicated and thoughtful moderator, much more likely to give advice and informal warnings than infract members, in all of his time here as a mod he completed over 21,000 moderating actions, yet only issued 8 formal warnings.

He was a positive force at VEF, I must admit I never always fully understood some of his rambling posts, but he was a very funny guy, and he will be greatly missed by the moderating team and by so many of the VEF membership.

So long, Max, and thanks for everything.

When Scoundrel rang me earlier to tell me the awful news, I just didn't want to believe it.. I hoped it was some terrible joke by someone.

I am absolutely devastated. Our PM's together were something else. he was Mavis (based on his real name) and I was Ethel (for the same reason) and we tried to outdo each other in weirdness.

I will miss you tremendously Mavis, love and wet sloppy kisses, Ethel.

Our rants about politics, our own governments, the decline of the movie industry...our long and hilarious discussions about ups and down in our life, our favourite girls...our mutual intentions to finally see each other one of these days... this day will never come.
But I'll remember this day as one of the harshest days in my life. Your were a true friend. You made me who I am today on this site. You were one of the main reasons I was there daily. You had an awesome sense of writings. You had an incredible sense of humor. You were awesome and incredible. All these nice things you kept telling me when my life was shitty. You trying and succedding in comforting me after my lady left me. You always asking if everything was alright. Gosh, how a nice person you were.
I'll be missing you. I'll never stop missing you. My man Max.

Please tell me that this is not true....please!!!

I am tremendously shattered by these news and I am lacking words. Just noticing his change of Username several days back made me think that he would begin a new chapter here among us, so wonderfully serving us with his posts and witty remarks.

Wonderful times have we shared here, Max. Whenever there were some dark clouds over us, you was the one who brought light to us.

Max, you will be utterly missed.

Rest in Peace, dear Friend.
