Playboy even in the early days had girls that had posed for other outlets, nudist magazines ect. most of it not much different from what PB was doing at the time. But Lori Winston Miss June 1964, posed for Edmund Leja under the name Julie Cron ....I believe a year before or same time as her PB photoshoot. And in those sets, I guess for that time 1963/64 were beyond the set standard (here in USA at least) Pubic hair, open legs. But getting to PB in the 2000's Hef had turned control over to other people in the 1990s. so the so called PB image became less meaningful, which add to its decline, as well as the rise of the internet. I'd say the last 20 years of PB, before it was sold 9and revamped & re revamped) were a bunch of suits just milking the name dry.

There was a point when Playboy was strict to the point of Draconian as regards hardcore. Early 80s porn star Gina Carrera (who retired from porn in early 20s) was hired for a Las Vagas revue "Playboy Girls of Rock and Roll". It was very competitive and she made the cut despite having no formal dance or voice training. She worked a little over a week, singing and dancing, then the AVN convention came to Vegas. Someone felt the need to say to the show producers "Uh, you know third girl on the left? You know that's porn star Gina Carrera, right?" She'd signed a contract saying she'd never done any porn or nude modelling and she lost the job.

I get that, especially back then, Playboy felt they were promoting a more "wholesome" girl next door type (if that even makes sense in the context of nude modeling?), but who the hell feels the need to just fuck with someone else's career by dropping a dime like that?

Anyone come across anymore of Jessica Lee's work after Playboy? I know she did a lot of girl on girl with Kerri Kendall, Victoria Zdrok, Lauren Hays and other former playmates as well as solo stuff that was more exposed.
