The Thanks button

Just a simple question. If you happen to don´t like a post: do you still press the Thanks button?
It can be a small or big matter that makes you questioning or disliking something a tiny bit of that post.
This all considering a post that is in accordance with the rules of the VEF.

I don't see any point in thanking a post unless you like it, or download an image from it. Otherwise everyone is just thanking everything and it becomes pointless.

I routinely hit the "Thanks" button if I download images from a posting - it acts as a sort of "Been there. Seen it." bookmark for me as well as giving kudos to the OP.

There's been a lot of times I've thanked people for contributing in some way.

For example, in the Now Listening topic, I don't like Country, Disco or Rap/Hip Hop, but I've gave thanks to their posts for contributing and in return for giving me thanks if I've seen that that they have first.

I hit thanks if I like a post. If it's witty or funny, informative in some way or a cool picture. Like thetallguy, I think it's kinda pointless hitting thanks for the sake of it.

I Thank any post that meets my own Personal Taste. However sometimes I will appreciate (thanks) the effort made to post something unusual, challenging, intellectual or thoughtful.

I only thank if I liked the photo/video or the comment was a good contribution to the thread (even if I disagree with it).

Nowadays i visit VEF mostly via Smartphone. My preferred forum-style is lightweight by Dartho. Sadly, there is no thanks-button!
Used to thank more often when browsing VEF on my Desktop-PC.
