You would never get close enough to do anything with a quokka. The police would arrest you , throw you in the local jail and beat you repeatedly with clubs and then you would meet "Bubba" a seven foot tall 400 pound aborigine who loves to do anal to prisoners who try to harm quokkas!!.
No sex with the wife for a month!!

Sounds somewhat more accurate. Was it ever really about the dingo, though? Media cynic asks rhetorical question.

Well since you ask-Yes. I would guess that quite a lot of kiwis thought-on reading the latest incident "I wonder if it was the same bloody dingo...?"-after all the Azaria case got a LOT of coverage here-both parents were Kiwis after all...and the dingo trope is well and truly embedded here..

Personally-though I have eaten vegemite sandwiches...I much prefer it on toast-but this too is covering ground we have both been over before....

I don't remember that part of the song.

Yes, I was earlier asking whether that was ever really all about the dingo. Even back in 1980 the Australasian media were at least mildly rapacious.

Difficult to say with absolute certainty, but the reasons given earlier suggest...

Out of interest, do you have any areas in Australasia where it would be irresponsible not to have firearms?

Dangerous predators are an excellent reason to have them if you live isolated, but do you have any?
