Blackpool Farce
Hi petvictor
I've been going a bit of searching for you and the name of the farce is Don't Tell The Wife by Sam Cree with additional dialogue by Jack Douglas. It had a summer season in 1968 at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool. During that run the BBC filmed it, Barney Cohan of the The Good Old Days series directed. The production then transferred to the Windmill Theatre in Great Yarmouth for the 1969 summer season, certainly Jack starred I'm unsure if the cast remained the same. Jack again appeared in the same farce in 1997 this time at the Shanklin Theatre on the Isle of White. AceXX
