You can't beat a full english breakfast IMO. Or as I call it, "The Works"...
Bacon, sausages, 3 fried eggs, burger, black pudding, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, fried mushrooms and fried bread. For dessert: A heart attack... |

Strawberries.
Home grown strawberries (a little sugar on top, don't tell my dentist) and single cream. The strawberries need eating, they won't keep another day, but they still have a damn sight more flavour than the perfect-looking strawbs you buy from the supermarket.
I picked them from the plants in my mother's garden on Tuesday afternoon, just before heading back to London; these plants are descended from ten of three different varieties I originally planted for her 15 years ago, and there are dozens of plants now. If you've only six square feet, and only room for one single food crop, grow strawberries.

Heinz Baked Beans . I remember reading Joan Collins say it was one of the things she missed when she was over in the US during her Dynasty days....thought you would have had them by now.
Haricot bean is usually used, the sauce is tomato, though I seem to remember a brand or two trying curry sauce and chili sauce - neither caught on. Better explained here, note the 'Globally' section which warns of major differences between the Brit and US versions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baked_beans Oh yes, and they make you fart!

I have an old chest freezer in the back of my garage so I plugged it in a couple of days ago and have just been to Aldi and filled it with fruit ice lollies and different flavour ice cream (watch the bloody weather will change now)

I have never (yet) been over to America so I myself wouldn't have known that there are Heinz baked beans over there, presumably identical to the familiar red tins on our supermarket shelves. Marlon wasn't trying to wind anyone up. There are certainly Fords made and sold in Britain and (til very recently) General Motors cars branded Vauxhalls here, but you wouldn't know a Vauxhall was at all American unless you opened the bonnet, looked at the motor and saw AC Delco stamped on the battery and I suspect the Fords we pootle around in bear minimal resemblance to anything an American motorist would call a car. They have tinned baked beans in France and Italy but they are insipid, watery things, not in the least bit like what we call baked beans in the UK. The sauce is everything, and they haven't got it right in mainland Europe: hopefully your beans have the same sauce ours do?

Right I will post this now before I get very very drunk
I am BBQing tonight, I have bought some Kangaroo steaks from Sainsburys now these I wont risk on the BBQ so I will do them on a griddle on the cooker (I have a gas AGA, superb for heat) but I bought some Wild Boar sausages that I will do on the Barbie, I have my own wild Rocket that I have grown in pots and the same with spring onions and radishes! So thats mine and my girlfriends meal sorted, back to drinking Enjoy the weekend guys

When I was a lad I used to buy the baked beans breakfast tin. They call it the full monty now I think. Baked beans, sausages little bits I think were bacon and mushrooms. Empty into a pan heat and serve, or just eat out of pan because the dishes haven't been washed for weeks Student days

Don't ever do this with leftover pizza
I generally scrape the toppings off and heat them up in a microwave for about 1 minute and then put them in a hot dog bun that is lightly toasted under a grill, great for hangovers
