So we can hopefully bring this discussion to a close, the following has been added to the rules in the Classic Pornstar section :


[*]Posts with movie clips must always have either screencaps or preview images (maximum 20).
Note: even when the file specs are printed on the screencaps,
you should still include this basic info in the text of your post:
- media format (avi, wmv, mp4, etc.)
- file size
- run time (duration)
- resolution in pixels
File Size listed should be very close to the archive size of the download link. Padding of archives with unrelated material is prohibited.




If anyone decides to try this trick again, they can be penalized if they continue to do it after being warned.

As a footnote, please be careful...only use something safe like VLC to play totally unknown files like this. Other players, such as Windows Media Player especially, in the name of "convenience", can be directed by the file to download codecs containing malware, that are ostensibly necessary to view the file. The file plays, and the user thinks nothing of it, but now you have malware. This issue tends to be more of a problem in older, out-of-date OS's, like Windows XP. So, again, just be careful, watch your anti-virus, and follow the suggestions often listed on the tech threads on VEF, for the things you should do to stay safe online, such as this thread.
