Another use of 'fix' is when you order say a hamburger, the wait staff may ask what kind of 'fixings' you want on it. They are asking if you want any or all of the following: lettuce, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, cheese, tomato, ketchup, mustard, peppers, salt, pepper etc.

I see that you didn't quite get the joke nature of my post, but thanks for the info. "fixings" for shit you may want on your 'burger is a new one on me.

Just a note to European visitors to the American shores. When you go to a restaurant, don't just sit there and wait for someone to come and take your order... Americans are demanding and look for something to happen quickly.

Raise your hand, flag down a waiter, ask about the specials, etc. But, Americans are (generally) good tippers, so don't forget the gratuity.

If you like history, about 1 hour SE of Tuscon is the western town of Tombstone, made famous by Wyatt Earp and the gunfight at the OK Corral. Some of the headstones in the Boothill Graveyard are rather interesting. If you like paranormal things they have ghost tours of some of the buildings that are supposedly haunted.

English is not my mother tongue language, and I always stump on weird English phrases. My English speaking fellows (Americans included) I need your help in interpreting this complex word: female-identified female or activist. I've read multiple meanings to this phrase, is it a sexual thing? is it a social/legal rights thing?
Please HELP!
P.s. There are some related phrases (i.e male-identified woman, woman-identified woman, etc) I've read but I couldn't comprehend the real meaning. Do explain with details please!

It is a WOKE thing.

It is a man (usually) who sees himself as a woman and requires others to treat him as a woman.

I don't believe it is a woman who sees herself as a woman - or am I wrong in what I believe - ?

Here is the context: (I bet it would help?)
This project aims to expand the knowledge and skills of women-led grass-root groups and female-identified activists to challenge the traditional power structures and create new models of engagement, organizing, and leadership. Within a period of two years, the project aims to equip female-identified activists with skills, capacities, and knowledge on intersectional feminist perspectives to enable greater women’s participation in decision-making at all levels.

So here is what I have for you "women-led grass-root groups" are real women and " female-identified activists" are men who dress and act like women , and some believe they are a woman in a man's body tha'ts the short answer .
