Possibly because of these future titles:-

Expendables 4, Creed II, Rambo 5 & Escape Plan 3, he just has to be in them.

Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3195644/

It's a prequel set before the events of the previous two films which involved the nightmares that haunted the Lambert family. It concerns how psychic Elise Rainier is asked by Quinn to try to contact her dead mother to help a girl who is being attacked by yet another spooky fiend, Elisa fails to make contact with the mother and warns Quinn that when you try to make contact all the dead can hear you, of course the entity Quinn has contacted isn't what she thinks it is
After making a mess of an acting audition she sees a strange figure stood in the middle of the road waving at her, distracted she is struck by a car and ends up with both legs broken.
Stuck at home the spookiness increases and she sees apparitions and Elise and her two associates are called in to assist.

Night of The Living Dead (1968)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0063350/

They're coming to get you Barbra

A sister & brother are paying their annual pilgrimage to their father's grave when they are attacked by a tattily dressed man, of course we all know what he is nowadays but this was the start of the modern zombie genre, headed by George A Romero.
Barbra flees and seeks shelter in a nearby house and looking outside she sees the man is joined by others. Soon she is joined by a few others including Ben as the house comes under seige .
Classic zombie movie with a brilliant downbeat ending.

Incredibles 2

14 years later The Fantastic 5....The Incredibles are back !!
Sidelined by the world because they are viwed as public menaces, can a super fan public relations exec get them back in the beloved heroes lane?

Hats off to the animators, who have put together some beautiful and seamless animation on the big screen.I applaud and admire their hard work.
Brilliant and enthuisiastic voice work from :Craig T. Nelson,Holly Hunter,Sarah Vowell,
Huck Milner,Samuel L. Jackson,Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener.
Baby Jack Jack steals the movie, displaying his various powers, and still doing all of the cute things a toddler does.

There are a couple of semi predictable turns, the movie borrows a similar story thread from another popular "superheroe" movie, and it meanders a bit in the middle

In the end Incredibles 2 was worth the wait.So many laugh out loud moments, even the way characters run or walk down a hall was quite funny.

Scale of 1-10 an 8½

SUPERFLY

Priest is at the top of the drug dealing game, but an unforseen occurences prompts him to leave it all behind....easier said than done.

Superfly has all the basic tropes of previous drug kingpins in film wanting to retire from the life.
On top of that something happens in the first 15 minutes of the movie that made me say: Oh no this is going to be a terrible movie.

Fortunately it isnt terrible but it's not great either.
The film is blessed with a good cast.Trevor Jackson as Youngblood Priest may lack the intimidating edge needed for this role but he does display the right amounts of frustration the character encounters.
Michael Kenneth Williams does well as his mentor as Scatter.
Esai Morales as Adalberto Gonzalez his supplier turns in an intimidating performance.
As Priest's right hand man Eddie Jason Mitchell turns in another likeable character performance.
Jennifer Morrison is pretty good as a smug and corrupt cop.
The film has flash and style, coupled with a couple of good action sequences.

Some characters and situations were far to laughable and cartoonish.
At one point a character states something about a group of people being to flashy.....and that is an understatement !!
One character screams and yells about wanting and needing more money in his pockets, while throwing what looks like a huge bucket of cash at a stripper.

I enjoyed most of the movie, but this would make for a good rental on a slow Saturday.

Scale of 1-10 a 7

Tried to watch England play football but what a load of bollox

So time for something less frightful that won't fray my nerves as much

Insidious: The Last Key (2018)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5726086/

Opening with a look into the background of psychic Elise, who is brutalised by her prison warder father whenever she claims to see ghosts in her New Mexico home, Five Keys ..... leading to tragedy.
Cut to 2010 and Elise gets a call asking her to help with a problem at her old house - she heads off with colleagues Specs and Tucker to investigate and you know it's going to be a decent enough thrill ride

I watched "American Made" (2017) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Made_(film) - a Tom Cruise film in which he plays Barry Seal, a soon to be ex-TWA pilot who flew for the CIA and the Medellin Cartel in the late 70's to 80's. He made a ton of money, didn't seem to know how to open an off shore bank account, lost most of it, turned informer for the government and of course got executed for it. The CIA seemingly just wrote him off and didn't try to protect him much at all. Cruise does play a slimy guy quite convincingly.

I'd give it 3.5 out of 5.

Moana. Because sometimes Pop just has to watch what the grandkids want...or so I thought, but it's actually quite good. A few too many disney-ish songs yes, but Dwayne Johnson is great as the demigod Maui and Jermaine Clement as the avarcious crab Tomatao almost steals the movie. Auli'i Cravalho does a pretty good turn with what's essentially another plucky as all get out Disney Princess.
But it's a good story in the Disney style and the animation is amazing.
Three Mickey Mouses out of five.

Cockneys vs Zombies (2012)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1362058/

Workers at a construction site in London uncover an underground room sealed by King Charles II, two workers go into the tomb and are met by a zombie.
Meanwhile two brothers desperate to get some easy money to stop their grandfather's rest home being closed team up with some local thugs to rob bank, the police arrive but are rudely interrupted by you know what

Meanwhile pt II, the rest home is beseiged by zombies

Not quite up to Sean of The Dead but a reasonably funny horror comedy with Michelle Ryan as an added extra as well as lots of well known British character actors.
