Dad was complaining about how the Labor party usually want too go down a class warfare path and division. Said he was sick of hearing from them about hardships and misfortune.... Then he went on about how he came here in the 50's, no cash, no job, could barely speak English.... I think you know where this is headed. Then how he worked hard, paid his taxes. never took a handout, bought up 3 stupid sons etc..... Then he said the big one, I'd never heard him say this, He said he worked on The Snowy Mountains Scheme in the freezing cold

That was news too me, Then Mum said he was there for 5 days

That exploded into another argument.

Had never heard "norks" used as a synonym for boobs. Now it seems to be all the rage here on VEF.

I don't know if we started the term but it was certainly used, going back to the early 70's.

However, everyone working for the airport security was unusally friendly to the point of me become suspicious.

Sydney is Helsinki expensive. But not as cold.
