Yes, I often do forget that many men want love just as much as women do. It's a misconception that all men just want sex and not love. Why that market isn't being explored more deeply today, I don't know, except to bring back to my point of the market simply not being big enough as far as the "love fantasy" goes. Maybe the men who are in love are just lacking the sex part and don't need a love fantasy to be played out on screen.

I saw a sketch on Robot Chicken lastnight which showed a preview of Sex and the City 3, geared more towards a male perspective. Which meant that it was a cheesy action flick with explosions, half-naked babes and tons of violence.

Granted, this was spoof, but it showed the thinking of the average movie maker (mainstream and porn) that male viewers only want certain things in their movies. And if those things aren't in a movie, men (supposedly the only people in the world with money to spend) won't go to see it.

Rather than being intelligent about their business, they would rather continue to churn out the crap that supposedly sells rather than try to do something else.
