A Better Way to Make Better/Bigger Screenshots than VLC?

Hey all,

About a month ago I found out I could make screenshots with VLC, however, the outcome is a bit too small than what I had hoped. The photos aren't even of a 16 or 19 inch capture.

Is there another Media Player or software where I can make better screen caps?

Here's one I made of Shirley Jones, which appears a bit bigger on my pimp and host upload than it does when I open on my windows photo viewer.

Plenty of players allow scope for increased size and then some

Pot Player- capture - allows for individual source or screen grabs
Media Player Classic - MPC-HC

Just use Windows. Windows key + print. The screenshot should be somewhere in the picture folder.

Thanks for the replies!

I found a scope option on VLC, but all it did was open up an additional black screen with Red and Green wave effects. I had to refresh!

I'm going to download Pot Player to see what it's like. I just got done downloading KM Player to see how I like it. I'm also going to finally update GOP Player because I always get a pop up giving me the option to update the latest version when I open it. The version I have is the one I downloaded back in the summer of 2012!

Anyone of you have the latest version? do you like it? Is the new version drastically different and will I be in for a surprise?

I don't understand this whole discussion. What is the resolution of the video? Does the cap lose some of it? If not, the size of the resulting image is almost arbitrary & easily changed. Convenience may vary but so does convenience of different capture methods/programs. As always with any digital image, larger size reduces visual quality.

otoh, nothing can increase the resolution of the cap beyond what's in the video. Am I missing something?
