Not only Mummies, but aliens usually speak refined American - certainly in older episodes of Star Trek, and they tend to wear shiny metallic suits and can - more often than not, be exceptionally good looking.

And it goes without saying that goodies and baddies of any standing will normally have unlimited financial resources and live in a huge mansion like Arrow or Batman.
