Frida Kahlo

Frida Kahlo (de Rivera), born as Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderon on July 6, 1907 and died on July 13, 1954. Born in Coyoacan, Mexico she was a Mexican painter/artist. She is best known for her self-portraits and most of her paintings depicted pain and misery, likely due to her many years of suffering and pain due to extensive injuries she received in a serious accident. In fact, much of the time she wore a plaster corset because her spine was to weak to support her, which she would paint to adorn. (Pictured below - last pic) Frida was also married to Mexican painter Diego Rivera.
