The Chelsea will be postponed - they play Bayern Munich in the UEFA Super Cup the day before that game is scheduled to take place.

Also playing the best teams early in the season offers the opportunity of catching them before they get into their stride.

I think it depends on the club. For me, I'd prefer to play Man U & Arsenal at the beginning of a season, because they seem to fall into your stereotype of being slow starters.

However, Chelsea seem to be at their best in the first 10 or so games, so I'd opt to play them around Xmas/NY when they get a bit lost.

And if I had the choice, I'd slot in Man C near the end of a season - squeaky bum time, when they can be weak under pressure.
