A pretty disturbing documentary on lies told by religion and Governments with heavy emphasis on 9/11 as well as the financial causes of the outbreak of modern wars.

Zeitgeist: Addendum (2008)

The thought provoking sequel to Zeitgeist concentrating on the present self defeating financial system and proposing solutions including protect the internet as the largest source of free speech.
It's hard to disagree with a lot of what they say as we are all aware of the endemic corruption in all of our major systems whether political, financial even religious. How do we stand up to the large corporations that are causing so much destruction whilst putting on a caring front that we have now all started to see through. The section on the use of bribery or threats to promote changes in domestic policy in other nations was very interesting and quite disturbing.
Some ideas people may find hard to accept but the basic principles appear sound.

Daybreakers (2009) - Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe and Sam Neill. Interesting spin on the vampire genre, where bloodsuckers are the dominant species and humans are few in numbers. Worth checking out if your into horror thrillers, best of all is that they don't sparkle.

Having seen and loved this film many times as a lad, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did after all these years

Frivolous exploitation cinema at it's best, with a fantastic cast and some great lines

......

........and Jane Fonda is simply sumptuous in this

IMDB gives it a lowly 5.9....... but as a guilty pleasure and ignoring all it's technical flaws I'd have to give it 8.0

"Franz + Polina is a 2006 Russian romantic drama film set in 1943 in occupied Byelorussia. It tells the story of Franz, an SS soldier who deserts, and Polina, a Byelorussian woman whose village is massacred. The film received several accolades, including the 2007 FIPA D'Or Grand Prize"

This is a sad story. That's all I can say

Watching this right now,Out of desperation more than anything else.So far so derivative,We've already had the Kurgan from Highlander,Roman legionaries and even Hurons from The Last of the Mohicans..But so far no James Earl Jones in a ridiculous wig..Jason Momoa may lack Arnie's monolithic quality but He is as least as good in the role.

Last week, I found a complete copy of Outlander (2008) on YouTube. The quality was actually a little better than VHS and it looked and sounded much better than expected on my HD TV.

This is a well made semi-sci-fi and ancient Viking warrior battling monsters type film, starring Jim Cavizel (Person of Interest), Sophia Myles (David Tennant's ex-girlfriend) and John Hurt - who's done just about everything.

It has the look of a few other films, but is a reasonably good for a late night watch.

I'd say about 6/10 and worth downloading.

Or a weekend matinee. I gave it the same rating when I saw it during its original release. A great concept (in general) that I wish was attempted and explored more often.

This has a short runtime for a Russian movie (80 minutes) but it looks interesting. Starting to view
