success as a covergirl with her latest career as a
singer and actress.
As a model, Janine has certainly received plenty of
Encouragement from PEOPLE. She graced our pages
seven times before being voted our Covergirl of the

An ex-girlfriend of Duran Duran’s Roger
Taylor, Janine may soon be joining him
again – on the charts – if sales of her
first album, Diamondeyes, are anything to
go by.
The singer and centerfold star is also
working on a burgeoning film career and
will be making her American debout in the
movie Sunglasses with Ryan O’Neal.
Janine has already acted in two TV
series. The Haunting Of Classic Palmer
and Sherlock Holmes; and was a Bond
girl in Octopussywith Roger Moore.
Janine played a guard on an island
Inhabited only by wowen in the 007 epic
and was able to show off her physical
attributes to their best advantage in the
sexy Oriental “uniforms”.
“I loved doing Octopussy.” she said. “I
was off to India as soon as I was
auditioned. It was magnificent, so
exotic.”
She is excited about her American
assignment and also about it giving her
the opportunity of making a second album
- she already has a dozen songs for it.
Janine has her own recording studio in
her two-storey home in London’s
fashionable Chelsea.
She spent an entire six months there
working on her next release and has been
performing in concerts around the
country.
Her modeling career has been pushed
into the background so she can
concentrate on acting and singimg and is
intent on becoming a “well-known
singer.”
“I want to do everything possible in
showbiz.” she says.
We may be hearing and seeing a lot
more of Janine in the future-but, sadly,
there’ll be less of her at each viewing.
With musical talent to go with her looks,
Janine’s got it made for the big time.

JANINE ANDREWS is simply crazy about
jetting off to foreign clima-especially when it
means she misses winter at home. She’s a fan
of bright and original jewelery which
