Hi there. Kevin here. New for 2018. When I speak of anything using temperatures, for the benefit of our aussie and european members I will show both the Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures. In the backward country of America metric is only used in the scientific world . Eveywhere else Fahrenheit is used. Non-metric is used for things in the home and when buying most everything in stores.

Dear effCup: most members don't even know what Kelvin is; Kelvin is the temperature by which all molecular motion ceases. That is equal to absolute zero = to -273.15 degrees Celsius or -459.67 degrees Fahrenheit. The term Kelvin is very popular when used in the field of Astronomy. When a scientist provides the temperature of a given star the temperature is given in Kelvin units.
