Imagehost Problems, Imagebam, Imagevenue, PimpAndHost, PixHost, ImgBox etc

A shock and a shame, I too will be losing hundreds of posts due to I-Bam being easily the most user-friendly image hoster so I used them 90% of the time. Unfortunately I won't be able to replace most of my content because I've always had a slow connection and the effort required will be just too time-consuming. What really surprises me are the number of people who have uploaded content without having hard copies saved, so I really feel bad for them. I've decided upon my course of action for the next 3 weeks:

1> Download the IV bulk uploader for any future posts, that sounds like the best solution for my needs so far.
2> Start ripping threads faster than Disney can skullfuck the Star Wars franchise! For starters, I have 160 pages remaining of Best Perfect Tits, the #1 freeform naked chick thread ever compiled, and then the spare-no-expense efforts donated to the classic & modern celebrity GIF threads, a filetype that may disappear given the size restrictions of remaining imagehosters.

The reason I've posted what I have to this point is a desire to contribute something to VEF which is, far and away, the best site of its kind in internet history. The organization of the forums is unparalleled in its ease of use, trying to find what you want on any other site results in a spiraling search result hell. I've made my share of posting errors, and the mods have always been fair-minded and ready to assist. I can say, without hesitation, that VEF is home to the nicest & classiest perverts in the world.

I use dep files and k to share to host my vids, but I'm not in any reward program (and many of us are not either, I guess). I spend my time whenever I can to edit my stuff and upload it, choosing images one by one to get acceptable previews. Just for the pleasure to share whatever I stumble across with all the goodfellas here. Spending my money to subscribe to a pay image host? A few bucks would be okay, but what if DMCA destroyed my work? This could be a real major prob IMHO (and it's always been)

Think of newsgroup (Usenet) providers! They are in the same danger, and many of them are still existing.

It's true but if memory serves, as it usually does, usenet was the first target.
Years ago, I remember the end of the usenet. The DMCA.

Usenet kept going but was never the same for a multitude/variety of topics.
Luckily, many groups were able to keep going. I know you and others here
were able to be a part of that, and that's cool. For me it was "the good old days".
Scanning and uploading, Scans, collections, everything. Fond memories.

Now that day may be upon us at VEF.

I have also no problem paying for a decent image host.
Back in the days i have paid for Rapidshare and Toucansharing.
RS turned into crap and TS was killed by the industry.
I lost Gigabytes of data and the money for my accounts but i guess that's
the prize we have to pay for filesharing.

www.turboimagehost.com could be a good solution to host the pics ?

I don't want to sound like I am telling people the obvious -
but the easiest way is to copy your original images ( from say imagebam ) to your desktop - from 1 post for VEF - then re-name them if you need - to say
" Model Name - or Magazine Name then above all number them each 1 to 99 etc "
so you can save time copy and paste when you name or re-name - the
name title you choose - and then alter the number - from 01 to 02 etc
so when you transfer the images to imagevenue - you have a easily understood order
for the images to be clicked for each one , and you don't miss any images out
and when them all have been clicked
for imagevenue - you then upload -
NOTE ! _ if more than a few images , I recommend you do it in manageable chunks
as Imagevenue seem to be slower uploading the images and when they are all done - it says " some images are still being downloaded " - in other words have patience
before copy and pasting - the img code to the forum -

its to help others that don't often upload
photos to the forum -

Perhaps I am wrong, but if I am reading their "rules" correctly they only allow 30 images per upload.
I have sometimes posted pic sets up to 120 images, the max allowed by VEF in one posting, so I don't believe that host would work for a number of members.

I have sent an email to Flo at Imgbox asking if their shutting down is in part due to financial reasons. I also suggested/proposed if they would consider initiating a nominal yearly membership fee as opposed to shutting down.
I also mentioned that the majority of people would welcome and not be opposed to a yearly membership fee, which would be far better than losing hundreds of thousands of posts/images, and many years of hard work.

Flo has always responded to most of my emails in the past, but because of the news of their shutting down she is probably getting inundated with emails, so I can only hope that she will be able/willing to respond now.

Additional emails from members here to either or both hosts might be a helpful and wise idea.

30 is a little on the low side, but if you usually post less than that it's an acceptable host, the more hosts we have, the better.
