UK Newspaper Archive On-Line ( for p*ge 3 girls etc)
For p*ge 3 fans (and others with a general interest) who haven’t seen it, this may be a site worth keeping an eye on.
http://www.ukpressonline.co.uk/ukpre...open/index.jsp At the moment, it could be of some interest to late 70’s p*ge 3 collectors, as they are currently loading the complete Daily Express archive and this paper did feature quite a few ’pin ups’ in the late 70’s, although they were rarely, if ever, shown topless. There is also ‘digital’ archives of the Daily Star, Star On Sunday and Sunday Express (all from 2000 onwards, except Star On Sunday, from 2002.) However, being primarily for use as a text archive and the quality of the pre digitised pages being from microfilm and optimised for reading by Optical Character Recognition, the quality of the pictures will range from OKish at best, through bad, to appalling. In the ‘digital’ pages, the resolution of the images is reduced, so they will appear lightly pixellated. (If that’s the right word.) The Daily Mirror archive may appear to be available, but access is currently not for ‘private’ use, only to libraries and educational services, although it can be searched without you being registered, but you can only see thumbnail images of the relevant pages and you can’t refine the search criteria, so could get a massive number of irrelevant hits. I’ll be keeping an eye on the site, as at some point they might load the pre 2000 Daily Star archive, which I’m sure would be of interest to some of the p*ge 3 experts here and people like me, who specialise in specific UK girls, even if the quality of most of the pics will be poor. |

Wow! There is a lot of stuff there
Here is a snap check I made plus the number of hits: Erica Preston- 65,925 Linda Lusardi- 535 Samantha Fox- 76,806 Debbie Linden- 5,578 Debbie Boyland 87 (interestingly enough a lot of Sheree's pics appear) Might be a real goldmine this, might even sign up soon myself.

You want to be careful they charge 5£ per 48hours to be on their site. Its not much better than that rex features place.

With a bit of experimentation, I’ve realised you can do a more precise search without bring registered, by inputting the name with a - symbol between the words and using no spaces.
Taking the example of Erica Preston, as you say, it’s found most of those searches from references to the location or football team etc of Preston over the last 100 years. But if you search for Erica-Preston You’ll only get 14 hits, all of which are her. I’ve also tried Debbie Boyland in this manner, as I remember from searching the Mirror archive for her when that search facility was available, I only found 4 pages relating to her then, and by typing in a search for Debbie-Boyland You get 4 hits. Hope that helps. |

- I can confirm I have no connection with them in any way at all. From what I understand, by paying a fiver, which is an introductory offer, you can download as many pages as you like, and the key point here is that they are full size (in PDF format). You could download an awful of a lot of pages in 48 hours. Whether what’s on offer at the moment (Daily Express etc) would give most people with a p*ge 3 interest enough scope to make it worthwhile, and whether they would want higher quality images, is another matter, of course. Personally, if they opened up access to the Mirror’s pages in this way, I’d be falling over myself to get 48 hours access for five quid! One thing that might be worth bearing in mind is that I don’t know if this is the official archive site for the Express/Star group, or whether, like the Mirror group (well maybe eventually in the case of the Mirror?), they’ll have their own on line archive site for their papers, which might offer a better deal costwise for searching & downloading…… |

Rexfeatures chap once told me that pictures start from £50GBP upwards and there are loads of page 3 pictures in their vaults. He also told me that a lot of the photographers are reluctant to release their stuff.
