Here are some examples of how the ruling class live in some African nations. Some of which claim to be obscenely poor. http://www.africaranking.com/most-be...ces-in-africa/ Last edited by Estreeter; December 29th, 2016 at 11:55 AM.. Reason: removed 1 link |

Blacks were clearly wronged in the past. Few would deny that, but life in the past was pretty awful for the majority of ordinary people, even in the most advanced societies like the UK and parts of Northern Europe. For the people who built the various empires, it meant working long days in awful conditions. Many were children, many suffered terrible injuries at work, most were paid peanuts and nearly all had short lifespans. And if you didn't work, you'd probably die on the streets. Life was shit for the white working classes and it's time we restored some factual historical balance.

Whom does he say should pay this compensation? How much should it be? Should all balck people in the US get it, even if (lol) they were born after slavery was abolished? Will they persue the descendants of the slave traders in africa, who were themselves black, for compensation?

Nonsense

Seany65 is correct. Several factors must be considered. My ancestors came to America at the turn of the 20th century. None of them ever owned any slaves. Why on Earth should I, or any other person of similar ancestral background, be forced to contribute "reparations" to anyone? Realistically, if the absurd argument for reparations was to be enacted, the only logical thing to do would be to track down the descendants of former slave owners, and have THEM pay (ridiculous and unfair). The whole "reparations" argument is bullshit. The only people who are entitled to reparations are former slaves who are still alive. Since no ex-slaves are still living, the subject is pointless. |

Atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, and Muslims all like getting paid holidays during the winter months and don't much care if Christians want to associate it with their founder. Every body likes presents and the chance to sleep in a bit (if you don't have kids. All the other kids expect presents, because their Christian friends are getting them.) |

After looking it up, it seems it`s been around awhile, but today was the first time I`d ever heard this.
Watching a documentary on National Geographic, they kept using the term 200 B.C.E or 100 C.E for dating things. A Google search revealed they mean Before Common Era and Common Era. They are EXACTLY the same dates as BC and AD but are now used so as not to upset non Christians. As far as I was aware, despite the Christian meanings of BC and AD, they were just accepted for dating, pretty much losing the religious side of it as in Hoover for vacuum cleaners or Xerox for photcopiers. The programme was USA made with a UK narrator, both Christian countries last time I checked Ho Hum, bash the Christians again. |

Along with the black tribes who profited, and the Arab world who did quite well out of slavery. Now of course the white liberal/progressive element don't wont to dwell on black and Arab involvement in the slave trade because it's not quite PC is it? Remember, in the world of the unhinged and deranged, only whites are racist.... |

We had a clerk who came from Ghana, (formerly the Gold Coast Colony, a rich source of slaves) and I noticed that he and the West Indian guys didn't exactly get on. When I asked him why ? He told me that the West Indians held a grudge against the Africans because they blamed the Africans for selling them to the slavers. He then made several remarks about why his ancestors sold slaves none of which I would care to repeat.
