...and there's "Nicker Creek" in Western Australia.
I suffered from that once but the ointment worked a treat. |

Did you know that in Spain it is classified as "Kie" the most violent prisoners?.
The reason of this name is because in the 60´s an english prisoner named Arthur Kie finished with a riot ... him alone because he couldnt sleep. At least is what is said. There is no photo of the guy. |

In an international cross-country race once, the BBC commentators were in a bit of a quandary-there was a Chinese runner whom I think they were praying wouldn't make it. His name Wan Quing (with the Q pronounced K) and on the subject of naughty names, but this time a shop, I remember going to Israel in 1979/80 and seeing one called Bollocks! and there were t-shirts in Hebrew but if you looked upside down they spelt out naughty swearwords.

The Calder Cup is the championship trophy of the American Hockey League, the top minor hockey league. It was named after NHL president Frank Calder, and first awarded in 1937.
The franchise with the most Calder Cup championships, 11, is the Hershey Bears, also the oldest franchise in the AHL. Three times an AHL team won the Calder Cup the same season their parent club won the Stanley Cup; Montreal Canadiens and Nova Scotia Voyageurs in 1976 and 1977 and the New Jersey Devils and Albany River Rats in 1995. Four times the Calder Cup was won by a team in it's last game of existance; the 1967 Pittsburgh Hornets, the 1970 Buffalo Bisons, the 1982 New Brunswick Hawks and the 2015 Manchester Monarchs. The Hornets and Bisons gave way to the NHL Penguins and Sabres; the Hawks were moved to St. Catherines ON and the Monarchs moved to Ontario CA. Pittsburgh, Chicago and Philadelphia are the only cities to have a team win the Stanley Cup and Calder Cup. The Penguins won in 1991, 1992 and 2009; the Hornets won in 1952, 1955 and 1967. The Blackhawks won in 1934, 1938, 1961, 2010, 2013 and 2015; the Wolves won in 2002 and 2008. The Flyers won in 1974 and 1975; the Phantoms won in 1998 and 2005.
