Its hard to believe anyone would fall for these overseas callers even if they are spoofing numbers but obviously they do otherwise they wouldnt still be trying it on

The real nuisance is being woken up at all hours by these criminals

Short of turning off your phone or lowering the volume so you cant hear it
theres no way to stop it but not becoming a victim seems to be possible
- dont call them back...if you do recognise the number dial it manually.

Maybe time for 2 phones - 1 you keep totally private and other open slather
just like email accounts - being listed anywhere or giving your phone number to any organisation is almost a guarantee the bad guys will have your number at some stage.

Have you been getting unexpected overseas calls? Here's why...

I found out people I knew were getting calls from the most obscure places like Slovenia, the Congo, and Belgium.

So I decided to look into this a bit further and it turns out these calls are a part of a massive, international scam called "Wangiri" which is a Japanese word that means "one cut".

The companies rely on people calling the numbers back to see what's going on in order to make money.

"This is basically a mobile premium scam and what happens is somebody calls you, lets the phone ring once and they do it multiple times and what they want you to do is call them back," the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's (ACCC) Delia Rickard told Hack.

I often enjoy watching TV programming involving the planets, the solar system, the universe, and other outer space phenomena.

Recently I watched one such program regarding NASA and scientists hoping to one day colonize the moon. Hey I'm all for progress, advancement, and new achievements, as heaven knows that one day this planet will not be big enough to accommodate the ever growing population of us Earthlings.

But my first thoughts when watching that program were the we humans are not satisfied with with polluting, contaminating the ground and atmosphere,and turning the Earth into a shit hole, but now we want to unleash our "germ seed" out into space and other bodies out there as well.

We actually have already started. Each time one of our moon landing vehicles departs it leaves the rocket's base/platform behind, and we already have tons of debris from past space missions floating around in space. In fact, some of which having come dangerously close to colliding into several other subsequent space mission vehicles!

Colonizing the moon with thousands/millions of us human, creating garbage, trash, and fecal waste would turn the moon in time into a carbon copy of Earth!

Perhaps the UFOs many see are aliens keeping a watchful eye and ensuring that we humans do not spread our "filth germ" beyond our own planet -- who's to say?

That could be easy to get a cleaner planet.
We only need to change our mentality.
But people blindly defend Capitalism, even the most miserable working poors.
People fuck together without wearing condoms.
People don't get any compassion for other living creatures.

I remember when I was a child, watching the films of Cousteau commander on the oceans. (I don't know if he was popular in UK and USA, but in France and Switzerland he was very popular), admiring the BBC documentaries of Sir David Attenborough. I was so impressed by the magic and diversity of life.

Recently I opened a newspaper and learned that even African lions are disappearing, a subspecies of White Rhino has disappeared forever.
We have these capitains of industries making always more money on the back of nature. Stupid traditions still surviving because of lack of education.
Our governments don't want to control birth rate, consumption, environmental destruction. People don't vote for ecologists, but vote for nationalist representatives sponsored by lobbies.

Why Easyjet airplanes still flight? Why do meat is not prohibited?
Why private cars are not banned and don't we ride bicycle? Why don't we work 2 days a week and share the jobs together? Why don't we play soccer, snooker or chess, as example, during the 5 other days of the week? Why do we spend so much money in weaponry? Why why why?
