What Separates a Star from a Common Actress?

Which actresses you list that is the first step of porno regarding popularity, star TOP, the actresses who are in that middle zone, the second echelon, actresses who had some type important roles, but in general were much more supporting in movies and actresses in the third step, these have always been mere adjuncts and rarely were the main star in some important film.

Another issue I want to aborded is what makes an actress belonging to the first level, second or third? Would be the beauty, sensuality, elegance, charisma, sexual appetite? What separates a star from a common actress?

Big fan (imagine that, eh? given that I bothered to post) but I'd think Gina Carrera belongs in that second echelon. Certainly she did not have the body of work or attain the iconic stature of a Ginger Lynn (and for my money, Gina was better looking than Ginger) but she had her fair share of "front of the box" type roles over a relatively short career in major porn flicks ... "Stiff Competition" and "Lust on the Orient Express" come to mind

Who makes out a star from an actress is us the followers, the audience, and it doesn't matter if she did 1000's of films and box covers, or if she was nasty and depravated, neither the acting skills. For me as worst the acting skills in a pornstar the most a natural real persons seems to me and the sexier she becomes. If she looks nervius and looks directly to the cámara, I like it. examples; Dana Lynn, Dana Dylan, Sunset Thomas early years.

I've been thinking about this, the word "star" in porn is almost instantaneous as one who works in the business. In Hollywood and mainstream film, "star" is more earned and we don't know if Jennifer Lawrence will have the longevity of Meryl Streep or Lauren Bacall. Having said that, in porn, there are levels, of course and this site, in a way, serves as a fairly accurate poll of sorts in that you see the name Candy Samples a lot, but Bridgette Monet not as much. The former's career was across decades whereas the latter was more meteoric for maybe five years-will one be remembered in 20 years and the other not. Thus, visits here to certain names do indicate some type of success and stardom, but it is not a perfect poll but has some merit.

It´s quite easy. A Star is a person which you never forget. Examble : Sharon Stone, Denise Crosby, Nichelle Nickols, etc. I never forget those in my live. A wanna be star is person which has success and over. Maybie remembered for one year or so.
